VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
- [We still need your help - --There are plenty of parties and events on Friday night, and bikes in every neighborhood of the city that need flyers so that their owners/riders will learn that the ride will happen.]
- [ Make Contact -Email Mellow Yellow (see link at bottom of this page) to get copies of the flyers and find out where you can go to be of the most help.. OR.. if you know where you're going, let M.Y. know so that he can either send you help or send other volunteers around to other locations. See more below. Help make the ride a success!!!]
RECENT UPDATES
- [!!ORGANIZING MEETING!! - MONDAY MAY 17th 7PM at ABC NO RIO 156 Rivington Street.]
- [Date - The Northern Hemisphere date is set for June 12th, 2010; NYC rides with the Hemisphere.]
- [Time - Assembly begins at 5pm, we ride out in waves between 6:30 and 7pm. Prep your reflective gear ;-) ]
- [Location - Assemble in park at the far west side of West 23rd Street, between 11th & 12th Avenues. The final route will be communicated to riders who show up only.]
- [Graphics & Advertising - Flyers are available for posting in local bike shops and posting on Bicycles.. Or contact Mellow Yellow who will provide a digital file for you. Don't forget to decorate your bike! Make sure you have "World Naked Bike Ride - NYC - 2010" prominently displayed so that passersby will know you are part of the protest. ]
- [Route for the Ride - Final route will be communicated to riders who show up only. We have a reasonably sized starting and ending point with assembly areas at both start and finish for preparations, securing valuables, getting body painted or otherwise adorned with protest signage, and any kind of social activities at the end of the ride. ]
- [Volunteers - Again, we need more volunteers! We need folks who can attend the Brooklyn Critical Mass ride on Friday June 12th to hand out flyers.... There are also plenty of other events happening, and bikes to be tagged throughout the city, in every neighborhood. We still have three solid evenings to spread the word and gather more riders and volunteers. For the day of the event, we need NON-riders to help get riders information, and to help setup and clean up the staging areas before and after the ride. ]
