Next ride
Date: Saturday, June 13th, 2009
Time: Assembly begins at 5pm, we ride out in wave between 6:30 and 7pm
Location: Assemble in park at far west side of West 23rd Street, between 11th & 12th Avenues; final route will be communicated to riders who show up only.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
- [We still need your help- without both support people behind the scenes and riders, this ride will flounder. Email Paul (see link at bottom of this page) to volunteer 1 - 2 hours each week to make the ride a success.]

- [Date - The Northern Hemisphere date is set for June 13th, 2009.]
Open Issues
- [Time - There is an open item for the length of time, including when to assemble, begin riding, and ending assembly. We have been advised that an evening into night time ride, perhaps starting at dusk. Prep your reflective gear ;-) ]
- [Graphics & Advertising - We need some art work folks! Can anyone design a flyer/PDF/JPG with the NYC image?]
- [Route for the Ride - The actual location of the ride also up for discussion. We need a reasonable starting and ending point with assembly areas at both start and finish for preparations, securing valuables, getting body painted or otherwise adorned with protest signage, and any kind of social activities at the end of the ride. ]
- [Volunteers - Again, we need more volunteers! We need folks who can attend local meetings of Times Up! and the Critical Mass rides on Friday evenings to spread the word and gather more riders and volunteers. The 5 Boro Bike tour is set for May 3rd, and banners or other large billboard sized advertisements posted along the route need to be created, put in place and monitored. In Brooklyn, the artists' collective 3rd Ward is also having a bike festival on May 3rd and volunteers can rally there too.]
