It had been planned that all participants would gather at Town Beach 8am Saturday morning 18th of October, 2008. This would have been the same weekend as the Cable Beach Kite Festival which is now not going ahead.
If you are a Broome local, you could ride your bike to Town Beach to see if anything is going ahead and join in on the spot if it is. It is uncertain if this ride is proceeding. Communication from the Broome Organiser to the WNBR Australian Coordinator last occurred on Tuesday the 12th of August 2008. Please attempt to confirm whether this ride is going ahead by emailing the Broome Organiser before making a long journey to attend.

Broome has yet to have a WNBR.
Future
In June 2008 an Organiser volunteered to help make a WNBR happen in Broome for the weekend of Sat 18 and Sun 19 October 2008. Communication from the Broome Organiser to the WNBR Australian Coordinator last occurred on Tuesday the 12th of August 2008. It appears that the organiser has resigned without announcing it. People interested in participating or helping organise a WNBR in Broome should join the discussion group, try to make contact with others with similar views and demonstrate some initiative.
