London World Naked Bike Ride
The World Naked Bike Ride is a global protest movement with rides in cities around the world, raising awareness of issues such as safety of cyclists on the road, reducing oil dependence and saving the planet. Let's make the planet great again!
WNBR’s themes are to:
- protest against the global dependency on oil
- curb car culture
- obtain real rights for cyclists
- demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets
- celebrate body freedom
As well as promoting healthy life choices it can also be the best fun you can ever have on two wheels. The London ride has the excitement of a carnival, with big crowds to cheer it on. It is a "naked bike ride" but you can be "as bare as you dare" - body painting and fancy dress are welcome. It is fun, legal and all in a worthy cause.
You can find out loads of info on our new WNBRLondon.UK website:

Things you might need to know about the London ride
Getting involved
We hold monthly planning meetings before the ride: anyone is welcome to come along, and we reach decisions by consensus. We also rely on people to volunteer on the day, either as marshals, stewards, or first aiders. The more people we have to help out, the smoother the ride is for everyone. If you can help, please let us know!

Ride details - Sunday, 14th June 2026
This year we are swapping dates with WNBR Brighton so join us on SUNDAY 14th June 2026.
In recent years the Saturday has become increasingly busy with more traffic, events, road closures, diversions, crane operations, protests, counter-protests, police lockdowns, and, of course, the Trooping of the Colour. In 2026 we hope to have a better time by riding on the Sunday, 14th June. Our friends in WNBR Brighton were interested in moving to a Saturday, so we have swapped dates.
We can never be 100% certain about the arrangements until close to the day, so we advise you not to make any firm travel plans unless you need to. Our dates, routes and timing always need to be reviewed and accepted by the police. There is also the chance of unanticipated events or occurrences that undo our plans - for example, pandemic, state visits, funerals, etc. But our plans are firmly focused on Sunday 14th June 2026!
Last Year's Ride
In 2025, WNBR London rode nine routes from Clapham Junction, Croydon, Deptford, Hackney Wick, Kew Bridge, Regents Park, Tower Hill, Wellington Arch, and an accessible easy start option. It was a warm, mostly sunny day. We counted over 1,200 riders.
As is often the case, the ride coincided with the Trooping of the Colour in the morning. You can read more and watch our video at https://wnbrlondon.uk/wnbr-london-2025-news-video/. The film follows the riders starting at Wellington Arch, which was also involved in the royal celebrations. Early arrivers were able to watch the flypast by the Red Arrows, followed by the King, other royalty, the horse guards and marching bands processing through the start location.
