Legality
In the Republic of Ireland, the laws are different than elsewhere in Europe. Also they are largely untested. The police are unlikely to choose to arrest people exercising peaceful protest on timely issues, especially if the press are around to film/photograph the event. Also, such an arrest would interfere with the Human right to peaceful protest. For information about Irish laws that might apply to the event, see [1] and [2]
