Revision as of 23:30, 8 March 2015
The following information relates to bike hire for the 2014 ride.
London Bicycle Tour Company (LBTC) is offering bikes for the afternoon of the ride (Saturday 14 June 2014) for just £12 (£14 including WNBR seat cover which is yours to keep). They are also staying open until 7pm, so you have more time to return the bike. Bikes must be pre-booked and collected from their premises, which are 15-20 minutes by bike along low-traffic routes to the Marble Arch start point. Please try to collect bikes early (from 10.45am), in order to avoid a rush.

Terms of the hire for WNBR riders
- Bike collection and return is from/to the London Bicycle Tour Company (Nearest tube/rail = Waterloo).
- Bike delivery is not available for the Discount Hire for WNBR.
- Bikes can be collected from 10.45am on Saturday 14 June 2014. Please try to collect bikes before 1pm if possible.
- Bikes must be returned to LBTC by 7pm on Saturday 14 June 2014.
- LBTC will provide a bike that is available (and try to match your preference).
- The discount hire terms do not apply to Tandems or Road Bikes; if you require one of these, phone or visit LBTC.
- The person hiring the bike (the primary hirer) must adhere and agree to LBTC's normal terms and conditions.
- The person hiring the bike must leave a guarantee that the bike will be returned in good condition. This is normally done by providing the details of a valid credit or debit card. Alternatively, you can leave a cash deposit of £200 (GBP) per bike hired.
- LBTC reserves the right to set additional terms not described here.
Notes on costs
Bike helmets, panniers, and lights are not included in the prices and will incur an additional charge. Locks, though, are included.
It is preferred that people pay in advance by credit or debit card. This way LBTC are able to do two jobs at once: capture the hirer's bank details for the deposit on the bicycle, and pay for the bike hire at the same time.
Collection and return point
This year all bikes have to be collected/returned from/to the London Bicycle Tour Company between 10.45am-7pm on the day of the London World Naked Bike Ride. Please collect your bike before 1pm if possible, as this will minimise delays.

TfL Cycle Hire
Another option is Santander Cycles. However, this is intended for short journeys, so please make sure that you understand the costs involved. you pay £2 for the access fee, then the first 30 minutes are free, and each extra period of up to 30 minutes costs another £2. So, if you have the bike for 3 hours, it will cost you £12. This is quite plausible, since the London ride assembles at 14:30 and finishes at about 17:30. Seat covers
If you are hiring a bike, and you have a bare bum, please cover the saddle. This will protect you from any dirt, as well as being polite to the next person who uses the bike. You can purchase a WNBR seat cover for £2 at the London Bicycle Tour Company when you collect your hire bike.
