Join us for a naked lunch, a seaside bike ride in the buff, a paddle in the sea and a naturist beach picnic!
Brighton's fourth World Naked Bike Ride will take place on Sunday 14 June 2009. An amazing 400 riders took part in 2008, 180 in 2007, 160 in 2006, and more are expected in 2009. As of the 2007 ride, following negotiations with Sussex Police, full nudity is permitted at the event.
The event forms the finale to a weekend of UK rides, including Southampton and London the two days before. It's therefore possible to take part in three southern rides!
The ride takes place during Bike Week (14-21 June 2009) and Brighton's Year of Walking & Cycling. It also celebrates Brighton's status as a Cycle Demonstration Town.

The UK World Naked Bike Ride fund meets the cost of insuring rides
across the UK, and provides local organisers with money for
poster/flyer printing, advertising, ride equipment etc.

Ride details
Schedule
- 12 noon: Bike/body decoration and lunch
- 1pm: Assembly
- 1.30pm: Ride starts
- 3.30pm/4pm (approx): Ride finishes with sea swim and beach picnic
Food and drink
Please make sure you're well-fed at the start of the ride. If necessary, bring lunch to eat at the Level, plus snacks and water for the ride.
Bike and body decoration
Please bring decorations and body paint
Route
Route map showing start, end and rest points. The route goes via central Brighton and Hove, past a number of local attractions (Brighton Pier, The Royal Pavilion, the seafront etc), before finishing at Black Rock naturist beach where we can have a post-ride swim and picnic.

Getting there
If you live out of town, please try to use sustainable transport to get to the start of the ride (eg: train, bus, car share, bio-diesel or electric vehicle). You can check various options at National Rail Enquiries, Traveline South East, The Train Line, Lift Share and Car Share. NB: Buses normally don't take non-folding bikes.

If you haven't got a bike, the following shops are offering 10% discounts on the day of the event to people who quote 'Brighton Naked Bike Ride':
