+ | :• Since the end of 2009, the 'Last ride' section (which in many but not all ride location pages goes with the 'Next ride') shows a small notice for editors, to use the Edit tab at top of the page. The 'Next ride' section's template however, is protected and no-one bothered to copy that notice into it. Very recently I was granted the necessary rights and since this morning it's up. Shorter URL to ride pages?
Is there anyway to shorten the URL to the ride pages like wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/Lexington or something like that?
I've been using Dot.TK to reroute www.LexBike.TK to http://wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/index.php?title=Lexington but since they changed some polices around I don't know if it's something I want to continue using.
Reply on my User Talk:Troy Mars Page
- Yes, [[Lexington]] will give you a link: Lexington. - Erik Baas 11:48, 16 February 2012 (PST) P.S.: It's better to reply on the same page where the question was asked.
Why the wiki?
Can people state specifically what they intend to use the wiki pages for?
In my experience wikis work best for two things:
- Static sites (eg: definitions explainations of things) which benefit from wide range of authors.
- Sites that need weekly/hourly updates by a wide range of people who are going to create a set of linked events where the wiki becomes a means to say what the events will be and where/when they will take place.
I'm personnally not sure how using a wiki will add to things. Could someone more inspired by this wiki explain what their vision is for the WNBR wiki? I'm not trying to say this wiki won't be useful, just that I can't immediately see how it will be useful.

What will we do about ordering and deleting irrelevant or problem files?
It's come to my attention that we're accumulating more and more files and there's no directory structure or way to identify effectively what pages link to them. What do we do when there's an old and deletable file like this? http://nakedwiki.org/index.php?title=Image:London-logo-2007-lovelondon.jpg#file

Unable to edit Next Ride section.
On the New Orleans page: http://wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/index.php?title=New_Orleans
I cannot edit the Next Ride section. This section is from 2013, and is not current.
