Join us for a naked lunch, a seaside bike ride in the buff, a paddle in the sea and a naturist beach picnic!

Brighton's fifth World Naked Bike Ride will probably take place around the weekend of 11-13 June 2010 (possibly Sunday 13 June 2010 – TBC). An astonishing 700 riders took part in 2009 (up from 400, 180 and 160 in previous years). More are expected in 2010. As of the 2007 ride, following negotiations with Sussex Police, full nudity is permitted at the event.

The event in 2009 formed the finale to a weekend of seven UK rides, including Southampton and London the two days before, which allowed people to take part in three southern rides!

The ride also took place during Bike Week (14-21 June 2009) and Brighton's Year of Walking & Cycling. It also celebrates Brighton's status as a Cycle Demonstration Town.

Solidarity event

Saturday 13 March 2010 (date and venue TBC)

A fund-raising entertainment event is being discussed to take place around the weekend of Friday 12 – Sunday 14 March, in solidarity with the southern hemisphere rides happening at that time.

If a sufficient number and gender mix of hardy cyclists can be found, a publicity stunt ride is also being considered during the day on Saturday 13 March. This is also in solidarity with the southern hemisphere, as well as a means of publicising the Brighton summer ride. Nine riders, dressed only in hats, gloves and scarves, took part in a similar event in March 2009. Please get in touch if you're interested in participating!
