Naked riders across the state!
Woah, that was some crazy fun! For those of you who are curious, he's a quick debrief!
After meeting up in Vic Square, we made off for the Secret HQ and got stripped down and painted up. I think I speak for everyone when I say, this was some serious, hardcore fun. Slogans from ranged from "I heart Cycling" to "C ME NOW?".
We headed through ALL Adelaide's most densely populated streets, ensuring plenty of exposure. This included some on the fly organizing, which ended in photographers waiting for us out the front of the Advertiser building.
We picked up a few extra troops along the way. Including for me, a personal highlight, a shirtless man on a HUGE unicycle. Wicked.
Just as we started heading home, grins on full blare, the fuzz drove by. This was... inevitable. So really it couldn't have been better timed and they were extremely respectful, treating us like peaceful protesters, not naked ruffians.
Once back at HQ, we re-clothed and a few of us went of to a nearby pub and grabbed a beer or two, just enjoying the high. And that my friends, is the sum of all!

Ride Details
Issac Astill has volunteered to organise the 2011 Adelaide ride with the help of a small team of volunteers who have gathered in the WNBR Adelaide Facebook group to plan and organise the 2011 WNBR in Adelaide. Adelaide will hold a WNBR in 2011.
The ride details of the WNBR Adelaide 2011 are decided.
- The official WNBR Southern Hemisphere and Australia ride date is Saturday the 12th of March 2011. Adelaide will ride on that date.
- The assembly time for the ride is 11 am.
- The assembly location for the ride is Victoria Square/Tarndanyangga, King William Street, Adelaide.

When the ride is planned and coming up:
The ride is `bare as you dare' --- we suggest body paint, but you are free to wear as much or as little as you want. Fancy dress, self-decoration and other attention-grabbers are all very much encouraged. See The Art of WNBR for ideas on decorating yourself and your bike as well as lots of other background information. Knowledge is power !
Want to ride naked but aren't sure ? Get down to the local clothes-optional beach and get used to the idea of being nude outdoors and in public. But remember --- it's bare as you dare. You don't have to ride naked if you don't want to.
Make sure your bike is reliable. There will be no back-up team. If your bike lets you down, you're out of the event ! Sorry. Consider getting the fancy puncture-resistant tyres; they're expensive, but might save you on the day. Don't just dig that old boneshaker out of the shed two days before the event and hope it will be alright. It won't. If you don't ride regularly, start now; get to know your machine so that you're not worrying about it during the ride.

Legality
The laws that are relevant to public nudity in South Australia are applicable throughout the state. For the relevant law in South Australia, please check this external link: SUMMARY OFFENCES ACT 1953 - SECT 23, Indecent behaviour and gross indecency. Note: indecent exposure is distinct from indecent behaviour and gross indecency so non-sexual nakedness is less likely to attract police attention. 2011 will be the fourth WNBR in SA and there was no trouble with the police in 2008, just a grumble in 2009 very near the end of the ride and grumbles in 2010 at the beginning of the ride. No one has been arrested in the history of the event in Adelaide or in Australia. For general discussion of the topic of legality, please refer to the separate page about New South Wales Laws.

This is the current colour in flyer/poster to be used for the WNBR Adelaide 2011 to help promote participation. Please print these and stick them up where people will see them. Why not colour one in and stick it to your refrigerator?
