The 'Archived ride locations' page is designed to help cleanup the global 'List of rides' page. Rides may have lapsed after a year or so, or never got off the ground. In some cases, a promoter created a new page only to post a spam link, never intending to organize a WNBR. Anyway, here's how to archive such rides, or bring one back if you're serious about organizing a ride in any of these cities.
This typically involves 3 pages:
- A 'ride location page' about the city or town, by its name in English language, with presentation and/or documentation of the planned and/or held WNBR(s).
- 'List of rides', the global overview of WNBR locations that —on this wiki— show fairly recent activity and/or earlier have shown proof of at least one effectively carried out WNBR.
- 'Archived ride locations', the global list of locations at which a WNBR had been planned and/or may have occurred but hitherto without presenting proof on their page, and appear inactive.
Archive a ride location
If a ride has lapsed (and there had not been earlier sure, documented rides):
| 1) | Add the link to the 'ride location page' (even if that page would not exist) behind «Archived:» — In the Edit window [tab 'Edit'] of the 'List of rides', out of the location's ride line, copy the link to the 'ride location page' with the name in local language(s), if present, & paste it to the top of the country's list of (activated) locations.
