This page suggests many ways you can help to promote the UK rides.
Contents
Leaflets printing and distribution
Posters 2009
For the 2009 rides, full colour A4 posters have been printed for each ride. If more are needed, PDF versions of them can be downloaded for:
to be printable locally.
London 2007
Tish has designed a great new leaflet to promote the London Ride. It comes in two versions, a very stylish green-on-black, and an alternative on a white background which requires less ink. We hope to get large quantities of these printed, but for now, feel free to print at home if you have the facilities to do so.
Brighton & Hove
Brighton has a new set of posters and leaflets for 2007 which you can access here.
UK-wide
A generic flyer for all the 2007 UK rides has been produced. This has a fabulous Victorian-style cartoon. You can print out 8 small flyers on a double-sided A4 sheet and attach them to bikes you might find parked at railway stations or elsewhere. [Generic flyer] (Adobe Acrobat reader required).
Add WNBR banners and links to your website
Add a button that links from your own site to the World Naked Bike Ride site, by adding the following lines to the HTML on your site:
<a href="http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org/uk/"> <img src="http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org/uk/promote/wnbr2007-button-120-90.png" width="120" height="90" alt="Visit the World Naked Bike Ride website (UK page)" border="0" align="top"></a>
Sign up to UK events at Facebook
Facebook is the phenomenon of the year, but it wouldn't be complete without WNBR event listing and groups! If you use Facebook (and who doesn't?), get yourself along there, join, and invite all your friends! Who says naked cyclists and technology can't live together in peace and harmony?
- Brighton Naked Bike Ride event listing
- London Naked Bike Ride – various groups and event listings (needs to be coordinated better!)
- Southampton Naked Bike Ride event listing
Spread the word
Obviously, word of mouth is a great way to circulate info about the event. You can also let people know by e-mailing them. Consider posting to any relevant bike/environment/naturist lists you might be a part of. Also, ask any relevant environmental/bike/naturist websites if they will post info on their events listings pages.
Here are sample standardised messages that you might wish to copy or modify-
Please circulate this as widely as possible - even if you can't make it yourself!
In June 2008 on several days between Friday 6 to Saturday 14 June.....
THE WORLD NAKED BIKE RIDE is coming to the UK!
Join me and 1000+ others in a protest against oil dependency and the destructive effects of car culture by cycling round London, Manchester, Brighton, Southampton, York, Cardiff, Sheffield, and Edinburgh - NAKED..... or as “bare as you dare”! (note: full nudity not required)
Celebrate the individuality of our bodies and demonstrate the vunerability of cyclists on our city streets. On the London ride, there will be professional body-painters working for free and the London Bike Touring Company will be offering discounts on bike hire for those of you who don't own bikes.
There are various rides scheduled

http://wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/wiki/UK_PromoteIf cycling round town scantily-clad isn't your thang, why not support the cause by coming down to cheer us on... leafleting the route as you go.
We need people to:
- distribute leaflets along the route by foot (during the ride)
- distribute pre-ride leaflets
- steward the rides (you can do this with all your clothes on)
- help out on the info stall at the ride assembly point
- body paint (especially female painters)
If you are available to do any of the above, please email uk [at] worldnakedbikeride [dot] org
Hope to see you there!

June 2008 will bring the fifth annual World Naked Bike Ride!
Protest against oil dependency!
Celebrate the power and individuality of our bodies (and our bikes)!
This June, British cyclists will participate in the fourth annual World Naked Bike Ride! Last year over 1000 rode naked in London and no one was arrested. This year's rides are being planned in London, Brighton, Southampton, Manchester, York, Cardiff, Sheffield, Edinburgh and more!
Come with self-powered wheeled transport, and go as bare as you dare!
See the website for details- www.worldnakedbikeride.org/uk
Alternatively, here's a longer text:
Last year more than 1000 people cycled naked around the busiest streets of London and other cities worldwide on a Saturday afternoon in June.
The purpose of their ride was to protest against oil dependency and celebrate the body, underline the vulnerability of cyclists. And of course it was enormous fun! Shoppers were astonished, tourists were baffled, and Police... supportive!
This year the numbers are expected to be even more making it the largest naked protest in British history.
RIDES OCCUR: Friday 6th, Saturday 7th, Friday 13th, Saturday 14th JUNE 2008
