This page ("Archived ride locations" - ARL) is designed to help cleanup the global List of rides page.
Archive a Ride
If a ride has lapsed:
1)
- Cut & paste the ride text from the List of rides page into the ARL page under the proper country/area
Example:
Argentina
Buenos Aires: (+any details...) 10 Jun 2006 Lapsed or Cancelled 10 Jun 2006 Lapsed
include the (Previous rides: 12 Jun 2004, ...) information, if any, and change the Ride status tab to Kickstart this ride
2)
- add a link to the ride page after the word Archived: at the top of the country's list within the List of rides page
Example:
Argentina
3)
- add the following message to the beginning of the page being archived:
This page has been Archived please visit the Archived ride locations if you would like to restart this ride.
Unarchive a Ride
If a ride should become reactivated, please do the reverse:
1)
- Cut & paste the ride line from the ARL page back to the List of rides page in the proper spot and adjust the Ride Status Tab accordingly:

2)
- remove the link to the ride page after the word Archived: (in the List of rides page)
3)
- remove the Archived message at the beginning of the page for the ride you are re-listing
