Since this is an international event with the goal of being as inclusive as possible this website will help promote all WNBR rides regardless of the date a particular country or city chooses to ride on. Cities are however strongly encouraged to choose dates that are on or as close as possible to the agreed upon dates. This helps builds solidarity and creates a strong media presence. | Since this is an international event with the goal of being as inclusive as possible this website will help promote all WNBR rides regardless of the date a particular country or city chooses to ride on. Seattle has some conflicts that it needs to consider for scheduling. This ride must not conflict with the [http://solsticecyclists.org Solstice Cyclists] on the Saturday closest to Summer Solstice in June or [http://groups.yahoo.com/group/beeper/ Body Pride Ride] which is the week after that. We also want to avoid conflict with any regional Burning Man events such as Critical Massive and Burn in the Forest (mid July) or the Seattle to Portland Ride (if possible). We also really enjoyed the Group Health Bicycle Saturday and Sundays event, which is only on select weekends. Also, if we schedule too late in the summer, it is harder for us to get access to the International Fountain at the Seattle Center. | Seattle has some conflicts that it needs to consider for scheduling. 2007 Dates
In order to help encourage as many cities as possible to attend this event there will be two primary ride dates for the Northern Hemisphere ride in 2007. June 9th and July 14th. This will also enable cities who's rides get rained out on June 9th to reschedule for the July 14th event.
The Southern Hemisphere ride will be on Saturday 10 March 2007.
The Black Rock city ride will be as usual during the Burning Man festival which is in late August.
Rides must also abide by some very simple requirements.
Seattle
Seattle has some conflicts that it needs to consider for scheduling. This ride must not conflict with the Solstice Cyclists on the Saturday closest to Summer Solstice in June or Body Pride Ride which is the week after that.
