I'm pleased to say that the Brisbane City Council and West End police have given consent for the World Naked Bike Ride to go ahead this year! :-)
It will be taking place at Riverside Drive on Saturday 14th March at the top of Riverside Drive in West End (near the Merivale Bridge) at 11:30am. The ride will take off at 12pm and we will be riding down to Orleigh Park and back up again. The after party will be held at Ric's Bar at 1:30pm for the JJJ Hottest 100 countdown.
For those who don't know: the World Naked Bike Ride is an annual environmentalist demonstration to peacefully protest against over use of fossil fuels as well as promote naturism, body positivity, biketivism and sustainable transport. Roller skaters and bladers are also welcome to ride with us.
Be aware that the media and the general public love this event and you will be filmed and photographed prior to and during the ride, even though we will have an official photographer. We do not have any control as to where the general photos and footage will end up, and we do not take any responsibility for any injuries that might be sustained.
The WNBR is not a race, you ride at your own pace. At the end of the ride, we will be having a couple of small prize giveaways for the best decorated bike and best face and body art design - so get your creative hats on!

This is an all inclusive event - everyone is invited. Tell your family, friends, workmates, clubbing buddies about this event, the more the merrier! Anybody under the age of consent must bring a parent or guardian or older friend or relative to supervise them. Anybody who behaves in an anti-social or sexually inappropriate manner will be ordered to leave the ride on first notice.
