- On this World Naked Bike Ride wiki, a since November 2011 suggested ride at Nottingham had indicated "some" date in June 2012. Follow-up during May/June of the latter year ended a day before the on the 16th scheduled WNBR with: "POSTPONED due to extreme weather". And then it remained awfully quiet.
- In 2019 however, the first WNBR at Nottingham was programmed for the 1st of June. That afternoon, on NottinghamshireLive, Rachel Gorman's article —with pictures and a video— 'Live updates as World Naked Bike Ride arrives in Nottingham for the first time' stated: "It's been in the pipeline for the last seven years".
- Unfortunately, the second edition of Nottingham's WNBR could not be held in the spring of 2020, due to the infamous covid-19 pandemic.
