In late December 2008 and mid January 2009, 2 enthusiastic and skilled Organisers volunteered to organise the first WNBR in Canberra. The ride happened on Sunday the 15th of March 2009 and was was a great success with almost 30 riders. A WNBRide is going to happen again in 2010! Hooray!
The official southern hemisphere ride date is Saturday the 13th of March 2010. Canberra has not yet decided if it will ride on that date or another on the same weekend or on the weekend before or after. Likewise the assembly time and assembly location have not been decided. You can have some input to these decisions by joining the discussion groups or emailing the organiser (see below for details). The details will be announced here when decided.
Bodypainting will occur before the ride so you can apply slogans, peace signs, hearts and flowers. The ride is FREE! Everyone is welcome to join the ride. After the ride there might be a BBQ which will probably be pay-as-you-go.
