Welcome!

The World Naked Bike Ride in Brighton & Hove is being planned to take place in the morning of Saturday 10 June 2006. The ride will allow people to participate in both the Brighton & Hove ride and the afternoon London ride if they travel by train.

If you're interested in riding or getting involved, please join the WNBR Brighton Yahoo group.

A planning meeting to discuss this ride was held at the Druid's Arms pub in Brighton on Friday 27 January 2006, after the Critical Mass Brighton bike ride. Report and details of next meeting to follow.

Get involved!

Please show your support for this event by joining the ride on the day, "as bare as you dare", and by spreading the word! The more people who ride, the more successful the event will be, and the safer riders will feel.

To really make this ride happen, people are wanted to get involved in organising and promoting the ride. The following jobs need to be taken on by eager volunteers:

  • Police liaison
  • Body painters
  • Media liaison
  • Flyer and poster design, printing and distribution
  • Publicity
  • Press release writing

Representatives from the following related interest groups are also sought:

  • Activists
  • Body arts practitioners
  • Cyclists
  • Environmentalists
  • The lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender community
  • Naturists
  • Performance artists
  • Skaters
  • Sustainable transport advocates

Route (draft plan)

Start

The following locations are being considered as a starting location for the ride:

  • The Peace Statue
  • The Floral Clock
  • Kemptown Nudist Beach
  • The Level

Route

It is proposed that the route should go past some of the following Brighton locations:

  • The Seafront
  • Brighton Pier
  • The Peace Statue
  • The North Laine
  • The Lanes
  • Churchill Square

Finish

The following locations are being considered as the finich point for the ride:

  • Brighton Train Station
