Ride on the day

Please show your support for this event and its message by riding "as bare as you dare" on the day.

If you haven't got a bike, these can be hired from Planet Cycles, next to West Pier (01273 748881). Oddballs used to hire out skates, but they don't any more.

Spread the word

The more people know about the ride, the more will come. The more people come and ride, the more successful the event will be, and the safer riders will feel.

Help organise and promote this ride

To really make this ride happen, please get involved in organising and promoting the ride. See the Brighton & Hove planning notes for more information on jobs required.

Route

The route goes via Brighton and Hove, past a number of local attractions (Brighton Pier, The Royal Pavilion, the seafront etc), before finishing at Black Rock naturist beach (within striking distance of Brighton Train Station) in time to catch trains and join the afternoon London ride. Please see the Brighton & Hove planning notes for more information.

History

2006

160-200 cyclists (and one skateboarder) took part in Brighton & Hove's first ride, on a blazing hot day! Chief Superintendent Jeremy Paine ruled against us exposing our "rude bits", but Sussex Police were very friendly and helpful in facilitating the ride.

2004

Not far from Brighton, on 12 June 2004, two riders took part in a naked bike ride in the Ashdown Forest.
