==Registering your interest==
Whether you want to get actively involved in helping a ride be a success, or just wish to get the occasional email reminder about upcoming rides, please register your interest via the Sign Up box on the [http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org Worldwide site]. We will usually acknowledge each registration, especially if you have a specific question or can offer to help. It is, however, not a requirement that riders register in this way.

Most rides also have a public Yahoo group to which you can subscribe and then discuss issues with others involved in that town or city. Sign up to Yahoo then, in Groups, search for WNBR and your town or city, and apply to become a member of the group if it exists. If it doesn't, then why not start one!

There are also Facebook Groups with a similar purpose as well as Facebook Events that focus on specific upcoming rides. Organisers may also use Twitter to communicate with followers.

From 2004 to 2012, there have been 59 UK Naked Bike Rides with a cumulative total of 13,000+ riders in 13 locations, and no arrests.

It is unlikely that police will object to nudity at future rides in England and Wales. Local police officially acknowledged the legality of full nudity at all rides from 2007 onward. They required people to wear clothes at three English rides ([[Brighton]], [[Manchester]] and [[Bristol]]) in 2006, but have made no such restrictions at later events.

In contrast, Scottish police have never officially allowed full nudity at the four [[Edinburgh]] rides in 2004, 2008, 2010, and 2011. No arrest have been made, so the legality of the Scottish police's position has never actually been tested in court.

For UK rides where full nudity ''wasn't'' permitted, police requirements of body coverage seemed to be similar. The groin area needed to be covered, as did female nipples. However, buttocks could be shown by either men or women.

2017 sees Worthing's 2nd World Naked Bike Ride take to these fine coastal shores to remind us all of the vulnerability of our beautiful bodies

Meet up, paint your body, then go as bare as you dare on a short bike ride around town, along the prom to some awesome sounds and music then back to the beach for a quick dip

Estimated ride time about 1.5 - 2 hours with a stop off and you can also watch the Street Velodrome at Beach House Green.

3 of the start points which are north of the river (Marble Arch, Regents Park, and Kings Cross) will all merge together near Piccadilly Circus/Haymarket. The 2 start points which are south of the river (Clapham Junction and West Norwood) will merge together at Vauxhall Bridge. Everyone (including Tower Hill) will then merge together on Westminster Bridge, then do the rest of the route in a huge group together.

You can assemble at one of the start points before the actual start time; see above for exact times at different lcoations. You can stay dressed as long as you want, but don't get undressed more than five minutes before the advertised start time, or as otherwise directed. Arranging the route for the WNBR requires negotiation with multiple authorities, working around other events, some of which are planned well in advance and others which occur on very short notice. The WNBR isn't the London Marathon and can't agree roads being closed months in advance. We try and ensure the route goes past many of the London landmarks where it will be seen by people on the streets. This helps to promote the goals of the protest ride whilst letting you see London whilst doing something a little bit different. We do try to announce the route beforehand, but sometimes it is difficult to do so without having to change it at the last minute. This is why the route isn't always available beforehand and may even change on the day at the discretion of the lead marshal.

After the five rides come together, the plan is to follow a route similar to 2011 (a circular 9 mile (14km) route of mostly flat cycling). The 2013 route should see you passing the London landmarks of Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Parliament, London Eye, Royal Courts of Justice, Ludgate, St Paul's Cathedral, Covent Garden, The Mall and Wellington Arch.

The proposed route is on BikeMap.net [http://www.bikemap.net/route/1430059 here], though it turns out we can't use the whole length of The Mall this year, so we will make a detour via Marlborough Road back via Piccadilly. It's a really good idea to take your clothes with you on the ride. Make sure they are secured though. You don't want to be the person who lost their clothes on the ride or the one whose friends decided the ride was taking too long, they had better things to do and went home with your clothes.

Even though the route will be circular, there is no plan to provide secure storage while we are doing the ride.

About 9 miles plus a variable start leg depending on where you begin. Very few hills. An easy, leisurely ride! In 2011 it took 2.5 hours and we still managed to lose people at traffic lights.

The finish is at Wellington Arch. When you arrive at the end of the ride, congratulate yourself and fellow riders on staging a successful protest. The finish area will not be a venue for prolonged naked socialising. So when you've found your friends, taken your photographs and celebrated the highlights of the ride, please get dressed and move on to continue your celebrations elsewhere. In particular, please note that playing games, such as Frisbee or ball games, in the finish area is not allowed.

The dispersal will commence as soon as the ride finishes. People will be asked by Stewards to leave the roadway, dress and depart immediately.

We encourage all riders to buy some body paints for themselves and get painted up before they come to the ride. People who wish to use the WNBR body paints are welcome to do so.

There is an informal arrangement for a body painting group this year. We will provide body paints, stencils and sponge brushes but no official body painters. Nudity will not be permitted during body painting (equivalent of bathing costume coverage must be worn). Large numbers won't be permitted. Photography won't be allowed.

To learn the location of the informal body painting area, please phone Will on 07914 383230 between 12:00 and 13:00 on Saturday. This should keep the body painting relatively private.

The best way to make sure you are ready for the ride is to get painted at home beforehand. Wear loose-fitting clothing that won't rub it off, and you can always leave final details and touch-ups for the ride. The easiest thing is to have a friend body-paint you, but you can paint yourself if it's an all-over-in-one-colour or message on your legs.

Photographers can be a problem at the ride start especially while body painting is taking place. If they aren't happy being photographed, please ask the photographers to stop, and consider standing between the photographers and subject (in a polite but assertive manner).

The toilets at Marble Arch are currently closed (as of 29th April 2013). We don't know whether they'll be open again by the day of the ride. There are toilet facilities inside Hyde Park and in a few local restaurants, but you may find a big queue there. If you undress before the ride starts, please don't leave the assembly area; specifically, don't walk into McDonalds (or any other building) naked! If you do it on any other day of the year then that's up to you, but on the day of the ride your behaviour will reflect on everyone else.
