The 2016 WNBR NOLA will take place on June 11, 2016.


The ride starts and ends at Mickey Markey Park. The ride takes us through the French Quarter, past Jackson Square, and then up Bourbon Street.


Riders should assemble at the park starting at 4:00 PM for body painting, other preparations, and other events. We will have to line up in the staging area (in the street) promptly at 5:00 PM. Everyone who is going to ride must be behind the lead police car and start on time. All human powered vehicles are welcome. Bikes, skates, skateboards, etc.


Only riders are allowed in the assembly area. Like any other parade, friends, family, spectators, photographers and videographers should line the route. There are several good viewing sites along Decatur and Bourbon Streets. Spectators have the opportunity to witness the ride twice by catching it on Decatur and then walking three blocks to Bourbon Street and catching it again. For photographers, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve on Decatur provides an excellent opportunity with scenic Jackson Square and historic St. Louis Cathedral as a backdrop.

Is there anyway to shorten the URL to the ride pages like wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/Lexington or something like that?

I've been using Dot.TK to reroute www.LexBike.TK to http://wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/index.php?title=Lexington but since they changed some polices around I don't know if it's something I want to continue using.

===Why the wiki?===

Can people state specifically what they intend to use the wiki pages for?

In my experience wikis work best for two things:

#Static sites (eg: definitions explainations of things) which benefit from wide range of authors.
#Sites that need weekly/hourly updates by a wide range of people who are going to create a set of linked events where the wiki becomes a means to say what the events will be and where/when they will take place.

I'm personnally not sure how using a wiki will add to things. Could someone more inspired by this wiki explain what their vision is for the WNBR wiki? I'm not trying to say this wiki won't be useful, just that I can't immediately see how it will be useful.

==Ride Details==

The 2014 WNBR NOLA will take place on June 14, 2014.


The ride starts and ends at Mickey Markey Park. The ride takes us through the French Quarter, past Jackson Square, and then up Bourbon Street.


Riders should assemble at the park starting at 4:00 PM for body painting, other preparations, and other events. We will have to line up in the staging area (in the street) promptly at 5:00 PM. Everyone who is going to ride must be behind the lead police car and start on time. All human powered vehicles are welcome. Bikes, skates, skateboards, etc.


Only riders are allowed in the assembly area. Like any other parade, friends, family, spectators, photographers and videographers should line the route. There are several good viewing sites along Decatur and Bourbon Streets. Spectators have the opportunity to witness the ride twice by catching it on Decatur and then walking three blocks to Bourbon Street and catching it again. For photographers, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve on Decatur provides an excellent opportunity with scenic Jackson Square and historic St. Louis Cathedral as a backdrop.

Everyone who is going to ride must be behind the lead police car and start on time. All human powered vehicles are welcome. Bikes, skates, skateboards, etc.


Only riders are allowed in the assembly area. Like any other parade, friends, family, spectators, photographers and videographers should line the route. There are several good viewing sites along Decatur and Bourbon Streets. Spectators have the opportunity to witness the ride twice by catching it on Decatur and then walking three blocks to Bourbon Street and catching it again. For photographers, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve on Decatur provides an excellent opportunity with scenic Jackson Square and historic St. Louis Cathedral as a backdrop.

The ride starts and ends at Mickey Markey Park. The ride takes us through the French Quarter, past Jackson Square, and then up Bourbon Street.

We will have to line up in the staging area (in the street) promptly at 5:00 PM. Everyone who is going to ride must be behind the lead police car and start on time. Everyone should arrive at the park at least one hour before the ride, but the earlier the better so that everyone can get undressed, painted (if desired), and get ready. All human powered vehicles are welcome. Bikes, skates, skateboards, etc.

Only riders are allowed in the assembly area. Like any other parade, friends, family, spectators, photographers and videographers should line the route. There are several good viewing sites along Decatur and Bourbon Streets. Spectators have the opportunity to witness the ride twice by catching it on Decatur and then walking three blocks to Bourbon Street and catching it again. For photographers, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve on Decatur provides an excellent opportunity with scenic Jackson Square and historic St. Louis Cathedral as a backdrop.
