Facebook's policy states that NAKED PROTESTS ARE ACCEPTABLE, but they do everything to obstruct the ride.

proactive WNBR site that looks forward immediately to the next ride.

In the past, Facebook has deleted its Toronto WNBR group just before rides and thereby subverts our event by first attracting new riders then shutting them out. Even if some riders subscribe to Facebook and Facebook happens to own a "Toronto WNBR" page at the moment, don't depend on it or take it seriously; it belongs to Facebook, not to any of us, and it is subject to vanish.

You sometimes encounter opposition to the ride, be polite. If the "preacher" shows up,
just tell him that the bible says that God made Adam and Eve "NAKED AND UNASHAMED Genesis 2:25". We don't body shame no one. Every body is beautiful. Our ride is all about love. Leave it at that.

This ride is as safe as the city is. During the pandemic, decorate and wear a mask. Apply social and cycling distancing measures.

As has happened at a Raptor's event, there are things that happen, regardless of how safe you think the city is. The ride is no different. If you feel you need security, bring your own. My recommendation is that if you don't feel safe, then don't ride. Not everybody shares your views about the ride, and some spectators may get extreme; although a rare occurance. The police do not always escort us. The ride is as safe as the city is.

==Land Acknowledgement==

We acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of many Nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

If you would like to create and contribute a poster for this ride, please do and share it!
We can't be everywhere putting up posters. Get creative, even one hand made poster helps the cause. Lots of riders make their own. A small Canadian Flag and a black magic marker does wonders, even a sheet of paper does the job.

-Print hand-bills and attach to parked bikes and hand out.

-If the Metro News boxes are empty, (they're not filled on the weekends), you can slip a poster in the window of the box.

'''Start: Coronation Park by the lake'''. South of the CNE's Princes Gate. Meet at 12:00 noon, ride 1pm. Bring water and sunblock, and perhaps a picnic lunch and decorating materials. Coronation Park on the waterfront has always served us well as a picturesque and practical gathering/staring point.

The clockwise route passes many of Toronto's landmarks and popular areas. Highlights include Trinity Bellwood's Park, Kensington Market, University of Toronto, Queen's Park, Yorkville, Yonge Street, Church Street, Ryerson University, Dundas Square, City Hall and the bank towers on Bay Street. Sugar beach loop. From their we skip the ferry docks and proceed directly to the CN TOWER, from there to H2O beach and back to Coronation Park.

We may altar the route slightly to avoid road construction, because someone has a really good detour idea, or just to shake things up.

Minor Adjustment. We skip Alan Gardens.

Also, we will go through Dundas Square twice. When coming down Yonge St. and
you pass Dundas St., then turn left 1 block south. Ride to
the first street (Dundas), turn left and then turn left again on Yonge St.
This will be the busiest intersection we encounter. The TV station is nearby.

Reminder: After the CN TOWER South Side, we scoot west across Queens Quay to H2O Beach loop back to Coronation Park; the starting point.

The ride ends at Coronation Park and riders are expected to dress in a reasonable time. The savvy head back dressed to Hanlan's Point Naked Beach.

At the end of the ride, please get dressed. We do not need any police issues.

After the ride some proceed to the Jack Layton Memorial Ferry Docks to visit Toronto's Naked Beach and depart by Ferry where you have to wear clothes until you enter the beach. ==Tips==
-Lipstick works great for body paint. Remember, if it is hot outside, they become soft, but
last the day.

-Bike carriers. Front or back. They are a safe and convenient way to carry your things.

- Old style potato carving stamps work. Paint your carving with paint or lipstick and stamp it
on yourself.

-Funny hats, funny bikes

-Electric bikes are fine, even electric cars. Hoverboards, scooters, etc... We are
positive alternative transportation methods.

-Can't ride? Rent a bike taxi. Roller blade.

-This is your event and as such there is neither a dress code nor any kind of fashion-nazi. What and how much you wear (if anything) is entirely your prerogative. Otherwise, what would be the point in being you?

And you will also be happy to know that we had a polite and respectful bicycle police escort from 2005 to 2010, who kindly stopped traffic for us on busy left turns, and who did their best to keep us all together as a group.

With the rash of cyclists being killed in 2018, the 3 bicycle police officers were courteous enough to escort the ride and control traffic at intersection. They did a fabulous job and seemed to enjoy themselves also. We are grateful for their help.

== The Years ==

There's been a surge of interest in recent years - in part because of the radical trajectory the Canadian federal government has taken against ecological, economic and financial sustainability. Canada is running itself into the ground in every way imaginable in order to pad the pockets of a few; a policy more typical of third world failing states. If it feels like there's a strong political headwind, there is, leaving only one option for those of us who care about ourselves, our home planet and all future generations: to pedal harder, inspire and prevail.

It would be great if someone could take the time to research for missed media from previous years - there's probably a lot of interesting material to dig up.

If you are not participating then stay back from their production. Body painting will start after 10. Do not wander
around the park naked. Stay in the group zone. Put your clothes on for a washroom break. Ride as a group. There will
be a police presence and deviants will be removed. Renting a bike; cover the seat.

Naked News was a blast.

This was the longest naked bike ride in Canadian history. 25.749504 km in 4 hours. We
departed at 1 pm, and arrived back at 5 pm. In the past we finished by 3:30pm-4pm.

This will be our biggest ride yet, and it was; the longest route and longest time; 1pm-4:30pm. The unofficial quick headcount showed up to 200 cyclists. Many joined us along the way. Slowly the pandemic has cleared up and the city will be more vibrant, and it was. They are depending on us.

We will be by-passing the ferry docks and heading to the CN TOWER. The protest will end at Coronation Park.
Unfortunately we had to skip Sugar Beach due to major road construction, but we added Trinity Bellwoods Park
in its place.

I'm guessing around 200 riders came out for the 10th Anniversary Ride, but maybe someone actually counted. The day was lovely, people were in good spirits and enthusiastic. Naked News made a splash at Coronation Park where we gather. Riders were as usual a very mixed lot which is good to see because everyone is welcome. One rider is in his 70's! We did early photo ops at Denison Park in Kensington Market and in front of Queen's Park, in addition to the usual line up in front of City Hall. This year we altered the route slightly to go through Ryerson University where in the courtyard a wedding party was thrilled to death! I got to hold the WNBR championship trophy - the one featured in the new WNBR 2015 Toronto poster - Everyone is a champ at the WNBR - we champion a cleaner and healthier future. A group "peeled off" at the ferry docks and went over to Hanlan's Point Beach for a glorious afternoon in the sun. Press is thin on the ground this year so far, but then again the ride is barely over - more might appear by tomorrow.

It was a perfect ride - perfect 28C weather, wonderful participants and some good press. Estimates stood between 100 and 200 riders, the press mostly reported 150. It was definitely the largest Toronto WNBR yet. Road construction near the start did not slow us down much. One participant, Oscar, was not even a year old and is probably the youngest participant yet! He seemed to enjoy the 14km ride in the sun - wearing a smart summer outfit while his mom pedalled as most riders did, naked. Some police happened by at the start but once again they did not join us for the ride. Traffic was calm, apart from all the welcome honking and cheering, and respectful. We rode through a giant rummage sale at Trinity Bellwoods, Convocation at U of T and the NXNE music festival at Dundas Square. We ended the ride at the park by the Toronto Island Ferry Docks. Some participants continued back to the starting point while a bunch of us caught a Ferry to the beautiful Toronto Islands, where we enjoyed the long summer late afternoon at Hanlan's Point beach. Toronto looked great and so did we!

Despite dire predictions of storms that never materialised, the ride was our biggest ever with approximately 150 ladies and gentlemen on our bicycles. We took a new route that went clockwise throughout the downtown core and passed new landmarks such as University of Toronto's King's College Circle, The Ontario Legislature at Queen's Park where we rode past a wedding that the newly-weds will never forget, and the heart of Canada's Financial District at King and Bay where important and often unsound financial decisions are made about our future and environment. Spirits were high among riders and the cheering public in general. Once again the police did not join us but we handily negotiated traffic ourselves. More media types than ever were present and the ride enjoyed much good and well deserved press.

The 2010 Toronto WNBR made a splash! 16C and rain didn't stop 80 or so enthusiastic upbeat people from enjoying the good clean fun protest against fossil fuel dependency. Riders ranged in age from under 10 to near 70 with a good number of both women and men. One couple rode on a side-by-side tandem called the "buddy bike". There was much festive dress-up and body-painting. The police had said that they were going to join us for the ride but they did not; we were able to manage traffic ourselves. The public was most appreciative, perhaps partly because of the terrible oil spill in the Gulf. It only started raining hard at the very end as we arrived at the finishing point.

The 2009 Toronto WNBR was a hit! Over 100 women and men came out (110?), including a few that joined spontaneously along the route! Riders ranged from age 16 to near 70 and came from as far away as Ohio! The bicycle police did not join us this year, perhaps because we have always been so orderly that they thought it unnecessary. While we missed their help in guiding traffic on our behalf, a few volunteers were able to assume that role and did so well. Due to street closures for a festival, we took a small detour along Front Street at the start. We somehow took a wrong turn onto College Street near Kensington Market, but managed to quickly get back on route!

Facebook (an infamous privately owned networking website) censored/removed the 2 year old WNBR Toronto Facebook Group but inexplicably left the orphaned WNBR Toronto 2009 Facebook Event that has all the same perfectly innocent content. Facebook and the like have proven to be worse than useless and antagonistic - they have their own corporate anti-humanist agendas which are not compatible with the WNBR - they prop up the myth that humans are obscene and that a new SUV will make you deliriously happy. I reject Facebook because it is unacceptable, k-zap, gone. It parrots people you know to create an illusion that they are somehow helpful for socialising and that you'll be banished if you reject it - they're not and you won't be. Some things one has to do for oneself; socialising is one. It is best to maintain our own emailing lists so that we can contact each other directly, and direct each other and the public to this wiki at www.worldnakedbikeride.org.

The 2008 ride in Toronto was the biggest yet. 75+ women and men participated. Once again the weather was ideal, the police courteous and the public enthusiastic and supportive. Artist Leif Harmsen had created posters to advertise the event, as had another volunteer, and efforts had been made to distribute them around downtown Toronto and online.

The 2007 ride in Toronto was the best yet. The weather was ideal. 30+ women and men participated and a new contingent from Hamilton joined up with us shortly after we set out. The police escort was courteous and the public was very supportive and showed much appreciation. The press coverage was generally very good - with a few excellent quotes and a clear reporting of the WNBR mandate and global scope.

===2006===

The 2006 ride in Toronto was plagued by lack of organisation and cold weather, but we ended up having a great time. Someone faxed incorrect info to the Toronto police, who showed up at Coronation Park several hours before the rest of us. They ended up having a very long day, but were good sports about it.

We started gathering around 11:30, and left on our ride at about 13:00. It was only about 14 degrees, but the sun was very intense and it warmed up nicely. We took a nice long winding route through the downtown core, and encountered a warm if low-key reception from the good citizens of Toronto. It's amazing how many people downtown happen to have cameras with them.

Our police escort hung back for the most part, but assisted us through a few intersections and left turns. We look forward to better weather and an increase in numbers for 2007, and hope to have a few women join us.

We had about 40 or 50 riders on the Toronto 2004 ride from Grange Park, but had a difference of opinion from two different police divisions, so for the 2005 ride, after a lack of leadership, a meeting place, Coronation Park was chosen. It worked out well, but we weren't able to advertise in sufficient time to draw more riders. We only had 10 riders, but I think we had a great and successful ride.

Nous pouvons modifier légèrement l’itinéraire pour éviter la construction de routes. La balade commence par le contour rouge et se poursuit par le contour bleu. Il n’y a pas de repos, c’est continu. Vous ne vous arrêtez pas à Dorchester Square. Le prochain arrêt est au BIG CIRCLE pendant 5 minutes. Le trajet se termine à Dorchester Square et les passagers doivent s’habiller dans un délai raisonnable.

We may altar the route slightly to avoid road construction.
The ride starts with the red outline and continues with the blue outline. There is no rest, it is continuous. You do not stop at Dorchester Square. The next stop is at the BIG CIRCLE for 5 minutes.
The ride ends at Dorchester Square, and riders are expected to dress in a reasonable time.

Note that your are in a public space and there is a high chance that you could be photographed
either by another participant, the press, or the public. If you do not feel comfortable with any
aspect of the ride, we suggest you do not ride. There may also be documentaries filmed. All this
publicity benefits the ride and spreads the message. The photographer should be
courteous if he over crowds your personal space. Just ask them to back up reasonably. The ride
will be more enjoyable for all. If a photographer is focused on genitalia photos, notify the
police on hand. Photography is not illegal.
You can wear a mask, or body paint as an alternative.

==Conseils Tips==
-Le rouge à lèvres fonctionne très bien pour la peinture corporelle. N’oubliez pas que s’il fait chaud dehors, ils deviennent mous, mais durent toute la journée.

-Porte-vélos. Recto ou verso. Ils sont un moyen sûr et pratique de transporter vos affaires.

- Les tampons de sculpture de pommes de terre à l’ancienne fonctionnent. Peignez votre sculpture avec de la peinture ou du rouge à lèvres et tamponnez-la vous-même.

-Des chapeaux rigolos, des vélos rigolos

-Les vélos électriques sont bien, même les voitures électriques. Hoverboards, trottinettes, etc... Nous sommes des moyens de transport alternatifs positifs.

-Vous ne pouvez pas rouler ? Louez un vélo-taxi. Roller, skateboard, etc...

-C’est votre événement et en tant que tel, il n’y a pas de code vestimentaire. Ce que vous portez et combien vous portez (le cas échéant) est entièrement votre prérogative.

-Lipstick works great for body paint. Remember, if it is hot outside, they become soft, but
last the day.

-Bike carriers. Front or back. They are a safe and convenient way to carry your things.

- Old style potato carving stamps work. Paint your carving with paint or lipstick and stamp it
on yourself.

-Funny hats, funny bikes

-Electric bikes are fine, even electric cars. Hoverboards, scooters, etc... We are
positive alternative transportation methods.

-Can't ride? Rent a bike taxi. Roller blade.

-This is your event and as such there is neither a dress code nor any kind of fashion-nazi. What and how much you wear (if anything) is entirely your prerogative.

Il est parfaitement légal pour les femmes d’aller seins nus au Canada partout où un homme pourrait le faire, ce qui inclut le vélo dans les rues de la ville.

Furthermore, the Crown has acknowledged that participating in an orderly event naked is not illegal.

And you will also be happy to know that we have a respectful police escort , who kindly stopped traffic for us on busy roads, and keep us all together as a group. Plus provide fast medical attention. Note: They are not part of the ride, they keep us safe,
and the pedestrians safe.

Il y a eu un regain d’intérêt au cours des dernières années, en partie à cause de la trajectoire radicale prise par le gouvernement fédéral canadien en matière de durabilité écologique, économique et financière. Arrêter le pétrole canadien est une chose, mais acheter du pétrole étranger ne résout pas le problème. Nous avons toujours eu une taxe environnementale. Elle a été intégrée au régime fiscal. Maintenant, le gouvernement prétend qu’il n’a pas existé. Ils ont créé la taxe sur le carbone en plus de la taxe environnementale intégrée.

Now the government pretends it did not exist. They created the carbon tax on top of the built in environmental tax. How do you think the Great Lakes got cleaned up before the carbon tax?

In case you have not heard, 2023 was my last year helping with the Montreal ride. The
six years have been a pleasure to do, and I leave you with a ride that is totally awesome.
Claude Dufresne claudecd67@gmail.com and Steve O.K. will guide the ride. The ride will now always
be on the second Saturday of July. (This way everybody will remember.)
The ride can only get larger in popularity. I will still help out behind the scenes with promotion,
and dealing with the police.

The ride started with 1 police division and now includes 3 police divisions; and police
cyclists were involved. The police were fantastic every year.

We traveled Old Montreal, the gay village, had water hydration rests, and saw more
of Montreal than ever before and the people were great. Good luck on your future rides.

Le 13 juillet 2024, nous prévoyons encore plus participants participantes.

Avec les 2 trajets prévus, soit à 13h et 20h et les participants peuvent arriver 2h avant le départ pour faire connaissance et profiter de la peinture sur le corps (body painting).
C'est une expérience à vivre à ne pas manquer

To the Officers of the Montreal Police who participated in making the
Le Cyclo Nu Montreal World Naked Bike Ride 2021 a success.

With the ride occurring during the pandemic, which once again occurred during our environmental protest, the help Montreal police was much appreciated by myself and the participants.

We made sure at the end of the 2 protests that the officers were
acknowledged during our finale speech to the applause of the
participants.

With the lockdown being lifted and continued construction there
were unforeseen circumstances and logistic problems, but the
police managed to navigate the issues and create a fun and safe
ride for all.

We will once again return in 2022, and get our message out to
the people; and most importantly make Montreal smile again.

Thanks to all the participants of "Le Cyclo Nu Montreal" 2018 World Naked Bike Ride. This includes the Montreal police; namely Sgt. Bouchard and his team, who did a great job helping make this ride a success. During the week of interaction with them they seemed very willing to help out with requests regarding the new start times and nudity during body painting. As one officer said 'just do what you have to do!' and that meant get naked.

I will be sending them a separate note.

Our fantastic body painter; Jasmine Wang did a fabulous job adding flare to the ride. What better way than to promote the cause by using your body as an easel and presenting
a living message. Beyond my expectations and from the heart.

Jason Scott Red Cloud for co-assisting and translating for me at times. The radio, tv, blogs, tourism sites for their support and above all all riders who came out to ride and those who passed on advice.

I have got to admit the whole thing was surreal for me. We made Montreal smile and hopefully our message regarding oil, body shaming, road safety and bicycles was understood.

The tourists had a great time!

I will be gathering photos and creating a little video slideshow with music to show the success of the ride and creating a .com page for the ride.

The Montreal ride is back and will get better!

The June 11 ride was amazing...more participants than prior rides, and more enthusiasm....so much so that there will be a second ride this year. On Aug 6 at 11:30PM we will gather for the first Montreal Midnight Naked Bike Ride. It will start at Square Phillips
606 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest which is where the critical mass rides always start. The route will include St. Denis, Crescent, Ste. Catherine's and Sherbrooke... It is going to be an excellent complement to the day ride and hopefully the biggest turnout yet.

Le manifestation aura lieu samedi le 12 juin à 10Hr00 am. On va promener nu pendant 1 heure dans les rues de Montréal pour revenir au point de départ avec la protection de la police. Le départ se fait au Parc Bellerive au 2382 Notre-Dame Est ([http://is.gd/bTO4v carte]) entre Poupart et Fullum près de Delormier à 10hr00 am. Rendez-vous vers 09hr30 car la police nous permet de nous déshabiller 15 minutes avant le départ et de rester nu 15 minutes après la fin. Le trajet sera DeMaisonneuve vers l'ouest pour descendre par Christophe-Colomb vers le sud puis revenir vers l'est par René-Lévesque pour une durée de 1.0 heure.

The ride will start Saturday June 12 in Parc Bellerive 2382 Notre-Dame Est between Poupart and Fullum. People will gather by 9:30. The departure will be at 10:00 AM and the police will allow the riders to undress 15 minutes before the ride and remain undressed 15 minutes after the ride which will last one hour. There are more details to be worked out...but that is the most important information.

===2009===

Le 13 juin 2009, a eu lieu la seconde WNBR de Montréal et elle a eu beaucoup de succès. Environ 50 cyclistes y ont participé et ont fait quelques fois le tour du village et un trajet le long du fleuve, ce qui a permis de faire de belles photos avec le pont Jacques-Cartier en arrière-plan. Bien qu'il y ait eu moins de participants que lors de la première ballade en 2007, ce fut assurément un succès. En voici les raisons: 1) Les participants et participantes se sont montrés très enthousiastes malgré le peu de promotion dont l'événement a bénéficié. 2) Les policiers qui ont escorté les cyclistes étaient également en vélo et ils se sont montrés serviables et respectueux. 3) Les médias ont très bien couvert l’événement, les reportages étaient positifs et rendaient bien les messages véhiculés par la ballade. Les principaux journaux autant anglophones que francophones en ont parlé ainsi que la télévision et les services de nouvelles internet. La ballade a même fait la première page de la Gazette. 4) Il existe maintenant un groupe identifié de personnes motivés à continuer de s’impliquer dans l’événement, le faire grossir et le rendre encore plus populaire.

Merci Eric pour tout que tu a fait pour commencer le ride en 2007. Meme si il n'etait pas parfait...c'etait un grand success et le premier pas c'est le plus difficil. Je suis d'accord que le message environmental etait un peu perdu....mais je plains pas que les nudistes sont arrives. Ils sont tres important pour le success de l'evenement parce que ils osent promener tous nus. Cette fois on va faire un effort de faire plus claire nos messages...mais le plus important pour le ride c'est l'attention media et que ca agrandisse chaque annee. (excuse mon francais)

Détruite avec raison par les médias l'an dernier comme étant un coup de propagande pour la cause naturiste, il est de VOTRE devoir d'orienter la randonnée vers ce qu'elle devrait réellement être: UNE MANIFESTATION POUR L'ENVIRONNEMENT.

Sur +/- 150 cyclistes l'an dernier, à peine une poignée sont venus manifester avec un quelconque message environnementaliste. IL FAUT FAIRE DE MONTRÉAL UN MODÈLE À SUIVRE.

L'ENVIRONNEMENT prendra la place qui lui revient pour cette seconde édition. Tous les VERTS sont invités à faire passer leurs messages. Même les attardés mentaux de GREENPEACE qui ont refusé de défendre la cause environnementaliste en 2007. Leur excuse? On ne participe pas parce qu'on ne participe pas. Tout un argument. Ils devraient tous être congédiés. Pensaient-ils qu'on leur donnerait un cachet pour être présents? Ils ont même refusé de fournir des dépliants sur l'environnement qui auraient pu être distribués à la population. Ils défendant quoi au juste? L'environnement ou les politiques moribondes du gouvernement? Sont-ils payés en-dessous de la table pour se taire? Quelqu'un a entendu parlé d'une action quelconque de Greenpeace Québec dernièrement ou depuis toujours? Pathétique.

Une aire à l'abri des voyeurs pourrait être aménagée pour permettre aux manifestants de se peinturer et de ne pas être filmés par les mongols pendant qu'ils se déshabillent. Des clôtures pourraient être installées pour tenir les rapaces à l'écart.

ILS FAUT QUE LES JEUNES ET LES FEMMES S'IMPLIQUENT. Est-ce que l'environnement est un domaine où seulement les hommes doivent prendre l'initiative?

Finalement! Première participation de Montréal aux manifestations mondiales. En étroite communication avec les autorités de la ville, la nudité est tolérée et la manif est encadrée par les forces policières. La couverture médiatique laisse à désirer, la plupart des journaux et des postes de télévisions ne montrent que le départ: un zoo. On attendait 400 cyclistes, on a eu droit à 800 voyeurs. Une honte pour Montréal. La grande majorité des manifestants sont embarrassés par la meute en manque de peau. Ils préfèrent se joindre à la manif APRÈS le départ. Résultat: les quelques 20 ou 25 participants au départ sont des naturistes ayant répondu plus à l'appel de la nudité qu'à celui de l'environnement. Les médias ne manquent pas de le faire remarquer.

On attendait un affrontement avec les Juifs hassidiques de l'Avenue du Parc, c'est plutôt nos B.S. québécois qui feront le plus de grabuge. Partout sur la planète, c'est dans la joie que semble s'être déroulé les manifs. Montréal fait bande à part avec sa population n'ayant pas la moindre tolérance ou politesse. C'est correct de voir des enfants irakiens déchiquetés par les bombes étatsuniennes, mais n'allez surtout pas montrer un bout de fesse... Sacrilège!

Le plaisir débute 5 minutes plus tard sur Saint-Joseph. Venant de partout, près d'une centaine de manifestants se sont joint au cortège en lançant des slogans et en saluant la foule. Les applaudissements fusaient de partout et l'atmosphère de confrontation du départ par la foule de débiles légers n'est plus qu'un mauvais souvenir. Félicitations à tous les manifestants.

Départ au Parc Wilfrid-Laurier, au nord sur Brébeuf, à l'est sur St-Grégoire, au sud sur Papineau, à l'est sur Masson, au sud sur Parthenais, à l'ouest sur Saint-Joseph jusqu'à l'avenue du Parc, on monte du Parc au nord jusqu'à Van Horne, on emprunte Clark au sud pour finalement tourner à l'est sur Laurier pour revenir au parc. Total = approx. 42 minutes

La World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) a ses origines à Vancouver, au Canada. En 2002, les Naked Bike Rides organisées par le groupe Artists for Peace/Artists Against War (AFP/AAW) ont eu lieu à Vancouver. Nous pouvons modifier légèrement l’itinéraire pour éviter la construction de routes. La balade commence par le contour rouge et se poursuit par le contour bleu. Il n’y a pas de repos, c’est continu. Vous ne vous arrêtez pas à Dorchester Square. Le prochain arrêt est au BIG CIRCLE pendant 5 minutes. Le trajet se termine à Dorchester Square et les passagers doivent s’habiller dans un délai raisonnable.

la publicité profite au trajet et diffuse le message. Le photographe doit être
courtois s’il encombre votre espace personnel. Demandez-leur simplement de sauvegarder raisonnablement. Le trajet
sera plus agréable pour tous. Si un photographe se concentre sur des photos génitales, informez-en le
la police à portée de main. La photographie n'est pas illégale.
Vous pouvez porter un masque ou de la peinture corporelle comme alternative.

Note that your are in a public space and there is a high chance that you could be photographed
either by another participant, the press, or the public. If you do not feel comfortable with any
aspect of the ride, we suggest you do not ride. There may also be documentaries filmed. All this
publicity benefits the ride and spreads the message. The photographer should be
courteous if he over crowds your personal space. Just ask them to back up reasonably. The ride
will be more enjoyable for all. If a photographer is focused on genitalia photos, notify the
police on hand. Photography is not illegal.
You can wear a mask, or body paint as an alternative.

==Conseils Tips==
-Le rouge à lèvres fonctionne très bien pour la peinture corporelle. N’oubliez pas que s’il fait chaud dehors, ils deviennent mous, mais durent toute la journée.

-Porte-vélos. Recto ou verso. Ils sont un moyen sûr et pratique de transporter vos affaires.

- Les tampons de sculpture de pommes de terre à l’ancienne fonctionnent. Peignez votre sculpture avec de la peinture ou du rouge à lèvres et tamponnez-la vous-même.

-Des chapeaux rigolos, des vélos rigolos

-Les vélos électriques sont bien, même les voitures électriques. Hoverboards, trottinettes, etc... Nous sommes des moyens de transport alternatifs positifs.

-Vous ne pouvez pas rouler ? Louez un vélo-taxi. Roller, skateboard, etc...

-C’est votre événement et en tant que tel, il n’y a pas de code vestimentaire. Ce que vous portez et combien vous portez (le cas échéant) est entièrement votre prérogative.

-Lipstick works great for body paint. Remember, if it is hot outside, they become soft, but
last the day.

-Bike carriers. Front or back. They are a safe and convenient way to carry your things.

- Old style potato carving stamps work. Paint your carving with paint or lipstick and stamp it

-Funny hats, funny bikes

-Electric bikes are fine, even electric cars. Hoverboards, scooters, etc... We are
positive alternative transportation methods.

-Can't ride? Rent a bike taxi. Roller blade.

-This is your event and as such there is neither a dress code nor any kind of fashion-nazi. What and how much you wear (if anything) is entirely your prerogative.

Maintenant, le gouvernement prétend qu’il n’a pas existé. Ils ont créé la taxe sur le carbone en plus de la taxe environnementale intégrée.

In case you have not heard, 2023 was my last year helping with the Montreal ride. The
six years have been a pleasure to do, and I leave you with a ride that is totally awesome.

be on the second Saturday of July. (This way everybody will remember.)
The ride can only get larger in popularity. I will still help out behind the scenes with promotion,
and dealing with the police.

The ride started with 1 police division and now includes 3 police divisions; and police
cyclists were involved. The police were fantastic every year.

We traveled Old Montreal, the gay village, had water hydration rests, and saw more
of Montreal than ever before and the people were great. Good luck on your future rides.

Le 13 juillet 2024, nous prévoyons encore plus participants participantes.
En vélo, trottinette, planche à rouler ou tout autre moyen de transport écologique sans pétrole.
Avec les 2 trajets prévus, soit à 13h et 20h et les participants peuvent arriver 2h avant le départ pour faire connaissance et profiter de la peinture sur le corps (body painting).
C'est une expérience à vivre à ne pas manquer

To the Officers of the Montreal Police who participated in making the
Le Cyclo Nu Montreal World Naked Bike Ride 2021 a success.

With the ride occurring during the pandemic, which once again occurred during our environmental protest, the help Montreal police was much appreciated by myself and the participants.

We made sure at the end of the 2 protests that the officers were
acknowledged during our finale speech to the applause of the
participants.

With the lockdown being lifted and continued construction there
were unforeseen circumstances and logistic problems, but the
police managed to navigate the issues and create a fun and safe
ride for all.

We will once again return in 2022, and get our message out to
the people; and most importantly make Montreal smile again.

Thanks to all the participants of "Le Cyclo Nu Montreal" 2018 World Naked Bike Ride. This includes the Montreal police; namely Sgt. Bouchard and his team, who did a great job helping make this ride a success. During the week of interaction with them they seemed very willing to help out with requests regarding the new start times and nudity during body painting. As one officer said 'just do what you have to do!' and that meant get naked.

I will be sending them a separate note.

Our fantastic body painter; Jasmine Wang did a fabulous job adding flare to the ride. What better way than to promote the cause by using your body as an easel and presenting
a living message. Beyond my expectations and from the heart.

Jason Scott Red Cloud for co-assisting and translating for me at times. The radio, tv, blogs, tourism sites for their support and above all all riders who came out to ride and those who passed on advice.

I have got to admit the whole thing was surreal for me. We made Montreal smile and hopefully our message regarding oil, body shaming, road safety and bicycles was understood.

The tourists had a great time!

I will be gathering photos and creating a little video slideshow with music to show the success of the ride and creating a .com page for the ride.

The Montreal ride is back and will get better!

The June 11 ride was amazing...more participants than prior rides, and more enthusiasm....so much so that there will be a second ride this year. On Aug 6 at 11:30PM we will gather for the first Montreal Midnight Naked Bike Ride. It will start at Square Phillips
606 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest which is where the critical mass rides always start. The route will include St. Denis, Crescent, Ste. Catherine's and Sherbrooke... It is going to be an excellent complement to the day ride and hopefully the biggest turnout yet.

Le manifestation aura lieu samedi le 12 juin à 10Hr00 am. On va promener nu pendant 1 heure dans les rues de Montréal pour revenir au point de départ avec la protection de la police. Le départ se fait au Parc Bellerive au 2382 Notre-Dame Est ([http://is.gd/bTO4v carte]) entre Poupart et Fullum près de Delormier à 10hr00 am. Rendez-vous vers 09hr30 car la police nous permet de nous déshabiller 15 minutes avant le départ et de rester nu 15 minutes après la fin. Le trajet sera DeMaisonneuve vers l'ouest pour descendre par Christophe-Colomb vers le sud puis revenir vers l'est par René-Lévesque pour une durée de 1.0 heure.

The ride will start Saturday June 12 in Parc Bellerive 2382 Notre-Dame Est between Poupart and Fullum. People will gather by 9:30. The departure will be at 10:00 AM and the police will allow the riders to undress 15 minutes before the ride and remain undressed 15 minutes after the ride which will last one hour. There are more details to be worked out...but that is the most important information.

===2009===

Le 13 juin 2009, a eu lieu la seconde WNBR de Montréal et elle a eu beaucoup de succès. Environ 50 cyclistes y ont participé et ont fait quelques fois le tour du village et un trajet le long du fleuve, ce qui a permis de faire de belles photos avec le pont Jacques-Cartier en arrière-plan. Bien qu'il y ait eu moins de participants que lors de la première ballade en 2007, ce fut assurément un succès. En voici les raisons: 1) Les participants et participantes se sont montrés très enthousiastes malgré le peu de promotion dont l'événement a bénéficié. 2) Les policiers qui ont escorté les cyclistes étaient également en vélo et ils se sont montrés serviables et respectueux. 3) Les médias ont très bien couvert l’événement, les reportages étaient positifs et rendaient bien les messages véhiculés par la ballade. Les principaux journaux autant anglophones que francophones en ont parlé ainsi que la télévision et les services de nouvelles internet. La ballade a même fait la première page de la Gazette. 4) Il existe maintenant un groupe identifié de personnes motivés à continuer de s’impliquer dans l’événement, le faire grossir et le rendre encore plus populaire.

Merci Eric pour tout que tu a fait pour commencer le ride en 2007. Meme si il n'etait pas parfait...c'etait un grand success et le premier pas c'est le plus difficil. Je suis d'accord que le message environmental etait un peu perdu....mais je plains pas que les nudistes sont arrives. Ils sont tres important pour le success de l'evenement parce que ils osent promener tous nus. Cette fois on va faire un effort de faire plus claire nos messages...mais le plus important pour le ride c'est l'attention media et que ca agrandisse chaque annee. (excuse mon francais)

Je suis prêt à vous donner de précieux conseils vis-à-vis de l'événement; c'est-à-dire quoi faire et ne pas faire.
Je suis un d'ailleurs un expert en ce qui a trait à ce qu'il ne faut pas faire...

Détruite avec raison par les médias l'an dernier comme étant un coup de propagande pour la cause naturiste, il est de VOTRE devoir d'orienter la randonnée vers ce qu'elle devrait réellement être: UNE MANIFESTATION POUR L'ENVIRONNEMENT.

Sur +/- 150 cyclistes l'an dernier, à peine une poignée sont venus manifester avec un quelconque message environnementaliste. IL FAUT FAIRE DE MONTRÉAL UN MODÈLE À SUIVRE.

L'ENVIRONNEMENT prendra la place qui lui revient pour cette seconde édition. Tous les VERTS sont invités à faire passer leurs messages. Même les attardés mentaux de GREENPEACE qui ont refusé de défendre la cause environnementaliste en 2007. Leur excuse? On ne participe pas parce qu'on ne participe pas. Tout un argument. Ils devraient tous être congédiés. Pensaient-ils qu'on leur donnerait un cachet pour être présents? Ils ont même refusé de fournir des dépliants sur l'environnement qui auraient pu être distribués à la population. Ils défendant quoi au juste? L'environnement ou les politiques moribondes du gouvernement? Sont-ils payés en-dessous de la table pour se taire? Quelqu'un a entendu parlé d'une action quelconque de Greenpeace Québec dernièrement ou depuis toujours? Pathétique.

Une aire à l'abri des voyeurs pourrait être aménagée pour permettre aux manifestants de se peinturer et de ne pas être filmés par les mongols pendant qu'ils se déshabillent. Des clôtures pourraient être installées pour tenir les rapaces à l'écart.

ILS FAUT QUE LES JEUNES ET LES FEMMES S'IMPLIQUENT. Est-ce que l'environnement est un domaine où seulement les hommes doivent prendre l'initiative?

Finalement! Première participation de Montréal aux manifestations mondiales. En étroite communication avec les autorités de la ville, la nudité est tolérée et la manif est encadrée par les forces policières. La couverture médiatique laisse à désirer, la plupart des journaux et des postes de télévisions ne montrent que le départ: un zoo. On attendait 400 cyclistes, on a eu droit à 800 voyeurs. Une honte pour Montréal. La grande majorité des manifestants sont embarrassés par la meute en manque de peau. Ils préfèrent se joindre à la manif APRÈS le départ. Résultat: les quelques 20 ou 25 participants au départ sont des naturistes ayant répondu plus à l'appel de la nudité qu'à celui de l'environnement. Les médias ne manquent pas de le faire remarquer.

On attendait un affrontement avec les Juifs hassidiques de l'Avenue du Parc, c'est plutôt nos B.S. québécois qui feront le plus de grabuge. Partout sur la planète, c'est dans la joie que semble s'être déroulé les manifs. Montréal fait bande à part avec sa population n'ayant pas la moindre tolérance ou politesse. C'est correct de voir des enfants irakiens déchiquetés par les bombes étatsuniennes, mais n'allez surtout pas montrer un bout de fesse... Sacrilège!

Le plaisir débute 5 minutes plus tard sur Saint-Joseph. Venant de partout, près d'une centaine de manifestants se sont joint au cortège en lançant des slogans et en saluant la foule. Les applaudissements fusaient de partout et l'atmosphère de confrontation du départ par la foule de débiles légers n'est plus qu'un mauvais souvenir. Félicitations à tous les manifestants.

Départ au Parc Wilfrid-Laurier, au nord sur Brébeuf, à l'est sur St-Grégoire, au sud sur Papineau, à l'est sur Masson, au sud sur Parthenais, à l'ouest sur Saint-Joseph jusqu'à l'avenue du Parc, on monte du Parc au nord jusqu'à Van Horne, on emprunte Clark au sud pour finalement tourner à l'est sur Laurier pour revenir au parc. Total = approx. 42 minutes

Facebook's policy states that NAKED PROTESTS ARE ACCEPTABLE, but they do everything to obstruct the ride.

In the past, Facebook has deleted its Toronto WNBR group just before rides and thereby subverts our event by first attracting new riders then shutting them out. Even if some riders subscribe to Facebook and Facebook happens to own a "Toronto WNBR" page at the moment, don't depend on it or take it seriously; it belongs to Facebook, not to any of us, and it is subject to vanish.

You sometimes encounter opposition to the ride, be polite. If the "preacher" shows up,
just tell him that the bible says that God made Adam and Eve "NAKED AND UNASHAMED Genesis 2:25". We don't body shame no one. Every body is beautiful. Our ride is all about love. Leave it at that.

This ride is as safe as the city is. During the pandemic, decorate and wear a mask. Apply social and cycling distancing measures.

As has happened at a Raptor's event, there are things that happen, regardless of how safe you think the city is. The ride is no different. If you feel you need security, bring your own. My recommendation is that if you don't feel safe, then don't ride. Not everybody shares your views about the ride, and some spectators may get extreme; although a rare occurance. The police do not always escort us. The ride is as safe as the city is.

We acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of many Nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

If you would like to create and contribute a poster for this ride, please do and share it!
We can't be everywhere putting up posters. Get creative, even one hand made poster helps the cause. Lots of riders make their own. A small Canadian Flag and a black magic marker does wonders, even a sheet of paper does the job.

ride. This is a surprise to me every year.

-Print and put up posters.

-Print hand-bills and attach to parked bikes and hand out.

Highlights include Trinity Bellwood's Park, Kensington Market, University of Toronto, Queen's Park, Yorkville, Yonge Street, Church Street, Ryerson University, Dundas Square, City Hall and the bank towers on Bay Street. Sugar beach loop. From their we skip the ferry docks and proceed directly to the CN TOWER, from there to H2O beach and back to Coronation Park.

We may altar the route slightly to avoid road construction, because someone has a really good detour idea, or just to shake things up.

Minor Adjustment. We skip Alan Gardens.

Also, we will go through Dundas Square twice. When coming down Yonge St. and
you pass Dundas St., then turn left 1 block south. Ride to
the first street (Dundas), turn left and then turn left again on Yonge St.
This will be the busiest intersection we encounter. The TV station is nearby.

Reminder: After the CN TOWER South Side, we scoot west across Queens Quay to H2O Beach loop back to Coronation Park; the starting point.

The ride ends at Coronation Park and riders are expected to dress in a reasonable time. The savvy head back dressed to Hanlan's Point Naked Beach.

At the end of the ride, please get dressed. We do not need any police issues.

After the ride some proceed to the Jack Layton Memorial Ferry Docks to visit Toronto's Naked Beach and depart by Ferry where you have to wear clothes until you enter the beach. -Lipstick works great for body paint. Remember, if it is hot outside, they become soft, but
last the day.

-Bike carriers. Front or back. They are a safe and convenient way to carry your things.

- Old style potato carving stamps work. Paint your carving with paint or lipstick and stamp it
on yourself.

-Funny hats, funny bikes

-Electric bikes are fine, even electric cars. Hoverboards, scooters, etc... We are
positive alternative transportation methods.

-Can't ride? Rent a bike taxi. Roller blade.

-This is your event and as such there is neither a dress code nor any kind of fashion-nazi. What and how much you wear (if anything) is entirely your prerogative. Otherwise, what would be the point in being you?

And you will also be happy to know that we had a polite and respectful bicycle police escort from 2005 to 2010, who kindly stopped traffic for us on busy left turns, and who did their best to keep us all together as a group.

With the rash of cyclists being killed in 2018, the 3 bicycle police officers were courteous enough to escort the ride and control traffic at intersection. They did a fabulous job and seemed to enjoy themselves also. We are grateful for their help.

== The Years ==

There's been a surge of interest in recent years - in part because of the radical trajectory the Canadian federal government has taken against ecological, economic and financial sustainability. Canada is running itself into the ground in every way imaginable in order to pad the pockets of a few; a policy more typical of third world failing states. If it feels like there's a strong political headwind, there is, leaving only one option for those of us who care about ourselves, our home planet and all future generations: to pedal harder, inspire and prevail.

It would be great if someone could take the time to research for missed media from previous years - there's probably a lot of interesting material to dig up.

This was the longest naked bike ride in Canadian history. 25.749504 km in 4 hours. We
departed at 1 pm, and arrived back at 5 pm. In the past we finished by 3:30pm-4pm.

I'm guessing around 200 riders came out for the 10th Anniversary Ride, but maybe someone actually counted. The day was lovely, people were in good spirits and enthusiastic. Naked News made a splash at Coronation Park where we gather. Riders were as usual a very mixed lot which is good to see because everyone is welcome. One rider is in his 70's! We did early photo ops at Denison Park in Kensington Market and in front of Queen's Park, in addition to the usual line up in front of City Hall. This year we altered the route slightly to go through Ryerson University where in the courtyard a wedding party was thrilled to death! I got to hold the WNBR championship trophy - the one featured in the new WNBR 2015 Toronto poster - Everyone is a champ at the WNBR - we champion a cleaner and healthier future. A group "peeled off" at the ferry docks and went over to Hanlan's Point Beach for a glorious afternoon in the sun. Press is thin on the ground this year so far, but then again the ride is barely over - more might appear by tomorrow.

It was a perfect ride - perfect 28C weather, wonderful participants and some good press. Estimates stood between 100 and 200 riders, the press mostly reported 150. It was definitely the largest Toronto WNBR yet. Road construction near the start did not slow us down much. One participant, Oscar, was not even a year old and is probably the youngest participant yet! He seemed to enjoy the 14km ride in the sun - wearing a smart summer outfit while his mom pedalled as most riders did, naked. Some police happened by at the start but once again they did not join us for the ride. Traffic was calm, apart from all the welcome honking and cheering, and respectful. We rode through a giant rummage sale at Trinity Bellwoods, Convocation at U of T and the NXNE music festival at Dundas Square. We ended the ride at the park by the Toronto Island Ferry Docks. Some participants continued back to the starting point while a bunch of us caught a Ferry to the beautiful Toronto Islands, where we enjoyed the long summer late afternoon at Hanlan's Point beach. Toronto looked great and so did we!

Despite dire predictions of storms that never materialised, the ride was our biggest ever with approximately 150 ladies and gentlemen on our bicycles. We took a new route that went clockwise throughout the downtown core and passed new landmarks such as University of Toronto's King's College Circle, The Ontario Legislature at Queen's Park where we rode past a wedding that the newly-weds will never forget, and the heart of Canada's Financial District at King and Bay where important and often unsound financial decisions are made about our future and environment. Spirits were high among riders and the cheering public in general. Once again the police did not join us but we handily negotiated traffic ourselves. More media types than ever were present and the ride enjoyed much good and well deserved press.

The 2010 Toronto WNBR made a splash! 16C and rain didn't stop 80 or so enthusiastic upbeat people from enjoying the good clean fun protest against fossil fuel dependency. Riders ranged in age from under 10 to near 70 with a good number of both women and men. One couple rode on a side-by-side tandem called the "buddy bike". There was much festive dress-up and body-painting. The police had said that they were going to join us for the ride but they did not; we were able to manage traffic ourselves. The public was most appreciative, perhaps partly because of the terrible oil spill in the Gulf. It only started raining hard at the very end as we arrived at the finishing point.

===2009===

The 2009 Toronto WNBR was a hit! Over 100 women and men came out (110?), including a few that joined spontaneously along the route! Riders ranged from age 16 to near 70 and came from as far away as Ohio! The bicycle police did not join us this year, perhaps because we have always been so orderly that they thought it unnecessary. While we missed their help in guiding traffic on our behalf, a few volunteers were able to assume that role and did so well. Due to street closures for a festival, we took a small detour along Front Street at the start. We somehow took a wrong turn onto College Street near Kensington Market, but managed to quickly get back on route!

Facebook (an infamous privately owned networking website) censored/removed the 2 year old WNBR Toronto Facebook Group but inexplicably left the orphaned WNBR Toronto 2009 Facebook Event that has all the same perfectly innocent content. Facebook and the like have proven to be worse than useless and antagonistic - they have their own corporate anti-humanist agendas which are not compatible with the WNBR - they prop up the myth that humans are obscene and that a new SUV will make you deliriously happy. I reject Facebook because it is unacceptable, k-zap, gone. It parrots people you know to create an illusion that they are somehow helpful for socialising and that you'll be banished if you reject it - they're not and you won't be. Some things one has to do for oneself; socialising is one. It is best to maintain our own emailing lists so that we can contact each other directly, and direct each other and the public to this wiki at www.worldnakedbikeride.org.

The 2008 ride in Toronto was the biggest yet. 75+ women and men participated. Once again the weather was ideal, the police courteous and the public enthusiastic and supportive. Artist Leif Harmsen had created posters to advertise the event, as had another volunteer, and efforts had been made to distribute them around downtown Toronto and online.

The 2007 ride in Toronto was the best yet. The weather was ideal. 30+ women and men participated and a new contingent from Hamilton joined up with us shortly after we set out. The police escort was courteous and the public was very supportive and showed much appreciation. The press coverage was generally very good - with a few excellent quotes and a clear reporting of the WNBR mandate and global scope.

===2006===

The 2006 ride in Toronto was plagued by lack of organisation and cold weather, but we ended up having a great time. Someone faxed incorrect info to the Toronto police, who showed up at Coronation Park several hours before the rest of us. They ended up having a very long day, but were good sports about it.

We started gathering around 11:30, and left on our ride at about 13:00. It was only about 14 degrees, but the sun was very intense and it warmed up nicely. We took a nice long winding route through the downtown core, and encountered a warm if low-key reception from the good citizens of Toronto. It's amazing how many people downtown happen to have cameras with them.

Our police escort hung back for the most part, but assisted us through a few intersections and left turns. We look forward to better weather and an increase in numbers for 2007, and hope to have a few women join us.

We had about 40 or 50 riders on the Toronto 2004 ride from Grange Park, but had a difference of opinion from two different police divisions, so for the 2005 ride, after a lack of leadership, a meeting place, Coronation Park was chosen. It worked out well, but we weren't able to advertise in sufficient time to draw more riders. We only had 10 riders, but I think we had a great and successful ride.

Nous pouvons modifier légèrement l’itinéraire pour éviter la construction de routes. La balade commence par le contour rouge et se poursuit par le contour bleu. Il n’y a pas de repos, c’est continu. Vous ne vous arrêtez pas à Dorchester Square. Le prochain arrêt est au BIG CIRCLE pendant 5 minutes. Le trajet se termine à Dorchester Square et les passagers doivent s’habiller dans un délai raisonnable.

either by another participant, the press, or the public. If you do not feel comfortable with any
aspect of the ride, we suggest you do not ride. There may also be documentaries filmed. All this
publicity benefits the ride and spreads the message. The photographer should be
courteous if he over crowds your personal space. Just ask them to back up reasonably. The ride
will be more enjoyable for all. If a photographer is focused on genitalia photos, notify the
police on hand. Photography is not illegal.
You can wear a mask, or body paint as an alternative.

==Conseils Tips==
-Le rouge à lèvres fonctionne très bien pour la peinture corporelle. N’oubliez pas que s’il fait chaud dehors, ils deviennent mous, mais durent toute la journée.

-Porte-vélos. Recto ou verso. Ils sont un moyen sûr et pratique de transporter vos affaires.

- Les tampons de sculpture de pommes de terre à l’ancienne fonctionnent. Peignez votre sculpture avec de la peinture ou du rouge à lèvres et tamponnez-la vous-même.

-Des chapeaux rigolos, des vélos rigolos

In case you have not heard, 2023 was my last year helping with the Montreal ride. The
six years have been a pleasure to do, and I leave you with a ride that is totally awesome.

be on the second Saturday of July. (This way everybody will remember.)
The ride can only get larger in popularity. I will still help out behind the scenes with promotion,
and dealing with the police.

The ride started with 1 police division and now includes 3 police divisions; and police
cyclists were involved. The police were fantastic every year.

We traveled Old Montreal, the gay village, had water hydration rests, and saw more
of Montreal than ever before and the people were great. Good luck on your future rides.

Le Cyclo Nu Montreal World Naked Bike Ride 2021 a success.

With the ride occurring during the pandemic, which once again occurred during our environmental protest, the help Montreal police was much appreciated by myself and the participants.

We made sure at the end of the 2 protests that the officers were
acknowledged during our finale speech to the applause of the
participants.

With the lockdown being lifted and continued construction there
were unforeseen circumstances and logistic problems, but the
police managed to navigate the issues and create a fun and safe
ride for all.

We will once again return in 2022, and get our message out to
the people; and most importantly make Montreal smile again.

Thanks to all the participants of "Le Cyclo Nu Montreal" 2018 World Naked Bike Ride. This includes the Montreal police; namely Sgt. Bouchard and his team, who did a great job helping make this ride a success. During the week of interaction with them they seemed very willing to help out with requests regarding the new start times and nudity during body painting. As one officer said 'just do what you have to do!' and that meant get naked.

I will be sending them a separate note.

Our fantastic body painter; Jasmine Wang did a fabulous job adding flare to the ride. What better way than to promote the cause by using your body as an easel and presenting
a living message. Beyond my expectations and from the heart.

Jason Scott Red Cloud for co-assisting and translating for me at times. The radio, tv, blogs, tourism sites for their support and above all all riders who came out to ride and those who passed on advice.

I have got to admit the whole thing was surreal for me. We made Montreal smile and hopefully our message regarding oil, body shaming, road safety and bicycles was understood.

The tourists had a great time!

I will be gathering photos and creating a little video slideshow with music to show the success of the ride and creating a .com page for the ride.

The Montreal ride is back and will get better!

The June 11 ride was amazing...more participants than prior rides, and more enthusiasm....so much so that there will be a second ride this year. On Aug 6 at 11:30PM we will gather for the first Montreal Midnight Naked Bike Ride. It will start at Square Phillips
606 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest which is where the critical mass rides always start. The route will include St. Denis, Crescent, Ste. Catherine's and Sherbrooke... It is going to be an excellent complement to the day ride and hopefully the biggest turnout yet.

Le manifestation aura lieu samedi le 12 juin à 10Hr00 am. On va promener nu pendant 1 heure dans les rues de Montréal pour revenir au point de départ avec la protection de la police. Le départ se fait au Parc Bellerive au 2382 Notre-Dame Est ([http://is.gd/bTO4v carte]) entre Poupart et Fullum près de Delormier à 10hr00 am. Rendez-vous vers 09hr30 car la police nous permet de nous déshabiller 15 minutes avant le départ et de rester nu 15 minutes après la fin. Le trajet sera DeMaisonneuve vers l'ouest pour descendre par Christophe-Colomb vers le sud puis revenir vers l'est par René-Lévesque pour une durée de 1.0 heure.

The ride will start Saturday June 12 in Parc Bellerive 2382 Notre-Dame Est between Poupart and Fullum. People will gather by 9:30. The departure will be at 10:00 AM and the police will allow the riders to undress 15 minutes before the ride and remain undressed 15 minutes after the ride which will last one hour. Le 13 juin 2009, a eu lieu la seconde WNBR de Montréal et elle a eu beaucoup de succès. Environ 50 cyclistes y ont participé et ont fait quelques fois le tour du village et un trajet le long du fleuve, ce qui a permis de faire de belles photos avec le pont Jacques-Cartier en arrière-plan. Bien qu'il y ait eu moins de participants que lors de la première ballade en 2007, ce fut assurément un succès. En voici les raisons: 1) Les participants et participantes se sont montrés très enthousiastes malgré le peu de promotion dont l'événement a bénéficié. 2) Les policiers qui ont escorté les cyclistes étaient également en vélo et ils se sont montrés serviables et respectueux. 3) Les médias ont très bien couvert l’événement, les reportages étaient positifs et rendaient bien les messages véhiculés par la ballade. Les principaux journaux autant anglophones que francophones en ont parlé ainsi que la télévision et les services de nouvelles internet. La ballade a même fait la première page de la Gazette. 4) Il existe maintenant un groupe identifié de personnes motivés à continuer de s’impliquer dans l’événement, le faire grossir et le rendre encore plus populaire.

Merci Eric pour tout que tu a fait pour commencer le ride en 2007. Meme si il n'etait pas parfait...c'etait un grand success et le premier pas c'est le plus difficil. Je suis d'accord que le message environmental etait un peu perdu....mais je plains pas que les nudistes sont arrives. Ils sont tres important pour le success de l'evenement parce que ils osent promener tous nus. Cette fois on va faire un effort de faire plus claire nos messages...mais le plus important pour le ride c'est l'attention media et que ca agrandisse chaque annee. (excuse mon francais)

Je suis prêt à vous donner de précieux conseils vis-à-vis de l'événement; c'est-à-dire quoi faire et ne pas faire.
Je suis un d'ailleurs un expert en ce qui a trait à ce qu'il ne faut pas faire...

Détruite avec raison par les médias l'an dernier comme étant un coup de propagande pour la cause naturiste, il est de VOTRE devoir d'orienter la randonnée vers ce qu'elle devrait réellement être: UNE MANIFESTATION POUR L'ENVIRONNEMENT.

Sur +/- 150 cyclistes l'an dernier, à peine une poignée sont venus manifester avec un quelconque message environnementaliste. IL FAUT FAIRE DE MONTRÉAL UN MODÈLE À SUIVRE.

L'ENVIRONNEMENT prendra la place qui lui revient pour cette seconde édition. Tous les VERTS sont invités à faire passer leurs messages. Même les attardés mentaux de GREENPEACE qui ont refusé de défendre la cause environnementaliste en 2007. Leur excuse? On ne participe pas parce qu'on ne participe pas. Tout un argument. Ils devraient tous être congédiés. Pensaient-ils qu'on leur donnerait un cachet pour être présents? Ils ont même refusé de fournir des dépliants sur l'environnement qui auraient pu être distribués à la population. Ils défendant quoi au juste? L'environnement ou les politiques moribondes du gouvernement? Sont-ils payés en-dessous de la table pour se taire? Quelqu'un a entendu parlé d'une action quelconque de Greenpeace Québec dernièrement ou depuis toujours? Pathétique.

Une aire à l'abri des voyeurs pourrait être aménagée pour permettre aux manifestants de se peinturer et de ne pas être filmés par les mongols pendant qu'ils se déshabillent. Des clôtures pourraient être installées pour tenir les rapaces à l'écart.

ILS FAUT QUE LES JEUNES ET LES FEMMES S'IMPLIQUENT. Est-ce que l'environnement est un domaine où seulement les hommes doivent prendre l'initiative?

Finalement! Première participation de Montréal aux manifestations mondiales. En étroite communication avec les autorités de la ville, la nudité est tolérée et la manif est encadrée par les forces policières. La couverture médiatique laisse à désirer, la plupart des journaux et des postes de télévisions ne montrent que le départ: un zoo. On attendait 400 cyclistes, on a eu droit à 800 voyeurs. Une honte pour Montréal. La grande majorité des manifestants sont embarrassés par la meute en manque de peau. Ils préfèrent se joindre à la manif APRÈS le départ. Résultat: les quelques 20 ou 25 participants au départ sont des naturistes ayant répondu plus à l'appel de la nudité qu'à celui de l'environnement. Les médias ne manquent pas de le faire remarquer.

On attendait un affrontement avec les Juifs hassidiques de l'Avenue du Parc, c'est plutôt nos B.S. québécois qui feront le plus de grabuge. Partout sur la planète, c'est dans la joie que semble s'être déroulé les manifs. Montréal fait bande à part avec sa population n'ayant pas la moindre tolérance ou politesse. C'est correct de voir des enfants irakiens déchiquetés par les bombes étatsuniennes, mais n'allez surtout pas montrer un bout de fesse... Sacrilège!

Le plaisir débute 5 minutes plus tard sur Saint-Joseph. Venant de partout, près d'une centaine de manifestants se sont joint au cortège en lançant des slogans et en saluant la foule. Les applaudissements fusaient de partout et l'atmosphère de confrontation du départ par la foule de débiles légers n'est plus qu'un mauvais souvenir. Félicitations à tous les manifestants.

Départ au Parc Wilfrid-Laurier, au nord sur Brébeuf, à l'est sur St-Grégoire, au sud sur Papineau, à l'est sur Masson, au sud sur Parthenais, à l'ouest sur Saint-Joseph jusqu'à l'avenue du Parc, on monte du Parc au nord jusqu'à Van Horne, on emprunte Clark au sud pour finalement tourner à l'est sur Laurier pour revenir au parc. Total = approx. 42 minutes

==Histoire History==
La World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) a ses origines à Vancouver, au Canada. En 2002, les Naked Bike Rides organisées par le groupe Artists for Peace/Artists Against War (AFP/AAW) ont eu lieu à Vancouver. C’est à cette époque que Conrad Schmidt a conçu l’idée du WNBR. Initialement, l’événement visait à protester contre la dépendance au pétrole et à célébrer le pouvoir et l’individualité du corps humain. Au fil du temps, l’accent a été mis sur la défense du vélo, la promotion d’un monde plus propre, plus sûr et plus positif pour le corps. Depuis, le WNBR s’est développé à l’échelle mondiale, avec des événements dans diverses villes à travers les continents, tout en encourageant les participants à rouler « nus comme ils l’osent » ! 🚴‍♂️🌎 🚴‍♂️🌎 🚴‍♂️🌎

The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) had its origins in Vancouver, Canada. Back in 2002, the Naked Bike Rides organized by the group Artists for Peace/Artists Against War (AFP/AAW) took place in Vancouver. *Carte Map:
Voir l’image de la carte à droite. Il suffit de suivre les voitures de police. Restez sur le côté droit de la route, la police utilise la voie de gauche. Nous pouvons modifier légèrement l’itinéraire pour éviter la construction de routes. La balade commence par le contour rouge et se poursuit par le contour bleu. Il n’y a pas de repos, c’est continu. Vous ne vous arrêtez pas à Dorchester Square. Le prochain arrêt est au BIG CIRCLE pendant 5 minutes. Le trajet se termine à Dorchester Square et les passagers doivent s’habiller dans un délai raisonnable.

Just follow the police cars. Stay on the right side of the road, the police use the left lane.
We may altar the route slightly to avoid road construction.
The ride starts with the red outline and continues with the blue outline. There is no rest, it is continuous. You do not stop at Dorchester Square. The next stop is at the BIG CIRCLE for 5 minutes.
The ride ends at Dorchester Square, and riders are expected to dress in a reasonable time.

aspect du trajet, nous vous suggérons de ne pas rouler. Des documentaires peuvent également être tournés. Tout ça
la publicité profite au trajet et diffuse le message. Le photographe doit être
courtois s’il encombre votre espace personnel. Demandez-leur simplement de sauvegarder raisonnablement. Le trajet
sera plus agréable pour tous. Si un photographe se concentre sur des photos génitales, informez-en le
la police à portée de main. La photographie n'est pas illégale.
Vous pouvez porter un masque ou de la peinture corporelle comme alternative.

Note that your are in a public space and there is a high chance that you could be photographed
either by another participant, the press, or the public. If you do not feel comfortable with any
aspect of the ride, we suggest you do not ride. There may also be documentaries filmed. All this
publicity benefits the ride and spreads the message. The photographer should be
courteous if he over crowds your personal space. Just ask them to back up reasonably. The ride
will be more enjoyable for all. If a photographer is focused on genitalia photos, notify the
police on hand. Photography is not illegal.
You can wear a mask, or body paint as an alternative.

==Conseils Tips==
-Le rouge à lèvres fonctionne très bien pour la peinture corporelle. N’oubliez pas que s’il fait chaud dehors, ils deviennent mous, mais durent toute la journée.

-Porte-vélos. Recto ou verso. Ils sont un moyen sûr et pratique de transporter vos affaires.

- Les tampons de sculpture de pommes de terre à l’ancienne fonctionnent. Peignez votre sculpture avec de la peinture ou du rouge à lèvres et tamponnez-la vous-même.

-Des chapeaux rigolos, des vélos rigolos

-Les vélos électriques sont bien, même les voitures électriques. Hoverboards, trottinettes, etc... Nous sommes des moyens de transport alternatifs positifs.

-Vous ne pouvez pas rouler ? Louez un vélo-taxi. Roller, skateboard, etc...

-C’est votre événement et en tant que tel, il n’y a pas de code vestimentaire. Ce que vous portez et combien vous portez (le cas échéant) est entièrement votre prérogative.

-Lipstick works great for body paint. Remember, if it is hot outside, they become soft, but
last the day.

-Bike carriers. Front or back. They are a safe and convenient way to carry your things.

- Old style potato carving stamps work. Paint your carving with paint or lipstick and stamp it
on yourself.

-Funny hats, funny bikes

-Electric bikes are fine, even electric cars. Hoverboards, scooters, etc... We are
positive alternative transportation methods.

-Can't ride? Rent a bike taxi. Roller blade.

-This is your event and as such there is neither a dress code nor any kind of fashion-nazi. What and how much you wear (if anything) is entirely your prerogative.

Furthermore, the Crown has acknowledged that participating in an orderly event naked is not illegal.

And you will also be happy to know that we have a respectful police escort , who kindly stopped traffic for us on busy roads, and keep us all together as a group. Plus provide fast medical attention. Note: They are not part of the ride, they keep us safe,
and the pedestrians safe.

They do a fabulous job and seemed to enjoy themselves also. We are grateful for their help.

== Les Années The Years ==
Il y a eu un regain d’intérêt au cours des dernières années, en partie à cause de la trajectoire radicale prise par le gouvernement fédéral canadien en matière de durabilité écologique, économique et financière. Si l’on a l’impression qu’il y a un fort vent contraire politique, il y en a, ne laissant qu’une seule option à ceux d’entre nous qui se soucient de nous-mêmes, de notre planète et de toutes les générations futures : pédaler plus fort, inspirer et l’emporter. Arrêter le pétrole canadien est une chose, mais acheter du pétrole étranger ne résout pas le problème. Nous avons toujours eu une taxe environnementale. Elle a été intégrée au régime fiscal. Maintenant, le gouvernement prétend qu’il n’a pas existé. Ils ont créé la taxe sur le carbone en plus de la taxe environnementale intégrée.

If it feels like there's a strong political headwind, there is, leaving only one option for those of us who care about ourselves, our home planet and all future generations: to pedal harder, inspire and prevail. Stopping Canadian oil is one thing, but buying foreign oil instead does not solve the problem. We have always had an environmental tax. It was built into the tax system. Now the government pretends it did not exist. They created the carbon tax on top of the built in environmental tax. How do you think the Great Lakes got cleaned up before the carbon tax?

In case you have not heard, 2023 was my last year helping with the Montreal ride. The
six years have been a pleasure to do, and I leave you with a ride that is totally awesome.
Claude Dufresne claudecd67@gmail.com and Steve O.K. will guide the ride. The ride will now always
be on the second Saturday of July. (This way everybody will remember.)
The ride can only get larger in popularity. I will still help out behind the scenes with promotion,
and dealing with the police.

The ride started with 1 police division and now includes 3 police divisions; and police
cyclists were involved. (Maybe motorcycles soon.) The police were fantastic every year.

We traveled Old Montreal, the gay village, had water hydration rests, and saw more
of Montreal than ever before and the people were great. Good luck on your future rides.

avec les participantes et participants elle a été formidable.
Autant les participants(e) que le public durant le trajet s'amuse dans un cadres Festif même si c'est une manifestation pour sensibiliser le public pour notre planète et les journalistes qui sont présents pour l'événement
Le 13 juillet 2024, nous prévoyons encore plus participants participantes.
En vélo, trottinette, planche à rouler ou tout autre moyen de transport écologique sans pétrole.
Avec les 2 trajets prévus, soit à 13h et 20h et les participants peuvent arriver 2h avant le départ pour faire connaissance et profiter de la peinture sur le corps (body painting).
C'est une expérience à vivre à ne pas manquer

To the Officers of the Montreal Police who participated in making the
Le Cyclo Nu Montreal World Naked Bike Ride 2021 a success.

With the ride occurring during the pandemic, which once again occurred during our environmental protest, the help Montreal police was much appreciated by myself and the participants.

We made sure at the end of the 2 protests that the officers were
acknowledged during our finale speech to the applause of the
participants.

With the lockdown being lifted and continued construction there
were unforeseen circumstances and logistic problems, but the
police managed to navigate the issues and create a fun and safe
ride for all.

We will once again return in 2022, and get our message out to
the people; and most importantly make Montreal smile again.

Thanks to all the participants of "Le Cyclo Nu Montreal" 2018 World Naked Bike Ride. This includes the Montreal police; namely Sgt. Bouchard and his team, who did a great job helping make this ride a success. During the week of interaction with them they seemed very willing to help out with requests regarding the new start times and nudity during body painting. As one officer said 'just do what you have to do!' and that meant get naked.

I will be sending them a separate note.

Our fantastic body painter; Jasmine Wang did a fabulous job adding flare to the ride. What better way than to promote the cause by using your body as an easel and presenting
a living message. Beyond my expectations and from the heart.

Jason Scott Red Cloud for co-assisting and translating for me at times. The radio, tv, blogs, tourism sites for their support and above all all riders who came out to ride and those who passed on advice.

I have got to admit the whole thing was surreal for me. We made Montreal smile and hopefully our message regarding oil, body shaming, road safety and bicycles was understood.

The tourists had a great time!

I will be gathering photos and creating a little video slideshow with music to show the success of the ride and creating a .com page for the ride.

The Montreal ride is back and will get better!

The June 11 ride was amazing...more participants than prior rides, and more enthusiasm....so much so that there will be a second ride this year. On Aug 6 at 11:30PM we will gather for the first Montreal Midnight Naked Bike Ride. It will start at Square Phillips
606 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest which is where the critical mass rides always start. The route will include St. Denis, Crescent, Ste. Catherine's and Sherbrooke... It is going to be an excellent complement to the day ride and hopefully the biggest turnout yet.

Le manifestation aura lieu samedi le 12 juin à 10Hr00 am. On va promener nu pendant 1 heure dans les rues de Montréal pour revenir au point de départ avec la protection de la police. Le départ se fait au Parc Bellerive au 2382 Notre-Dame Est ([http://is.gd/bTO4v carte]) entre Poupart et Fullum près de Delormier à 10hr00 am. Rendez-vous vers 09hr30 car la police nous permet de nous déshabiller 15 minutes avant le départ et de rester nu 15 minutes après la fin. Le trajet sera DeMaisonneuve vers l'ouest pour descendre par Christophe-Colomb vers le sud puis revenir vers l'est par René-Lévesque pour une durée de 1.0 heure.

The ride will start Saturday June 12 in Parc Bellerive 2382 Notre-Dame Est between Poupart and Fullum. People will gather by 9:30. The departure will be at 10:00 AM and the police will allow the riders to undress 15 minutes before the ride and remain undressed 15 minutes after the ride which will last one hour. There are more details to be worked out...but that is the most important information.

===2009===

Le 13 juin 2009, a eu lieu la seconde WNBR de Montréal et elle a eu beaucoup de succès. Environ 50 cyclistes y ont participé et ont fait quelques fois le tour du village et un trajet le long du fleuve, ce qui a permis de faire de belles photos avec le pont Jacques-Cartier en arrière-plan. Bien qu'il y ait eu moins de participants que lors de la première ballade en 2007, ce fut assurément un succès. En voici les raisons: 1) Les participants et participantes se sont montrés très enthousiastes malgré le peu de promotion dont l'événement a bénéficié. 2) Les policiers qui ont escorté les cyclistes étaient également en vélo et ils se sont montrés serviables et respectueux. 3) Les médias ont très bien couvert l’événement, les reportages étaient positifs et rendaient bien les messages véhiculés par la ballade. Les principaux journaux autant anglophones que francophones en ont parlé ainsi que la télévision et les services de nouvelles internet. La ballade a même fait la première page de la Gazette. 4) Il existe maintenant un groupe identifié de personnes motivés à continuer de s’impliquer dans l’événement, le faire grossir et le rendre encore plus populaire.

Merci Eric pour tout que tu a fait pour commencer le ride en 2007. Meme si il n'etait pas parfait...c'etait un grand success et le premier pas c'est le plus difficil. Je suis d'accord que le message environmental etait un peu perdu....mais je plains pas que les nudistes sont arrives. Ils sont tres important pour le success de l'evenement parce que ils osent promener tous nus. Cette fois on va faire un effort de faire plus claire nos messages...mais le plus important pour le ride c'est l'attention media et que ca agrandisse chaque annee. (excuse mon francais)

Je suis prêt à vous donner de précieux conseils vis-à-vis de l'événement; c'est-à-dire quoi faire et ne pas faire.
Je suis un d'ailleurs un expert en ce qui a trait à ce qu'il ne faut pas faire...

Détruite avec raison par les médias l'an dernier comme étant un coup de propagande pour la cause naturiste, il est de VOTRE devoir d'orienter la randonnée vers ce qu'elle devrait réellement être: UNE MANIFESTATION POUR L'ENVIRONNEMENT.

Sur +/- 150 cyclistes l'an dernier, à peine une poignée sont venus manifester avec un quelconque message environnementaliste. IL FAUT FAIRE DE MONTRÉAL UN MODÈLE À SUIVRE.

L'ENVIRONNEMENT prendra la place qui lui revient pour cette seconde édition. Tous les VERTS sont invités à faire passer leurs messages. Même les attardés mentaux de GREENPEACE qui ont refusé de défendre la cause environnementaliste en 2007. Leur excuse? On ne participe pas parce qu'on ne participe pas. Tout un argument. Ils devraient tous être congédiés. Pensaient-ils qu'on leur donnerait un cachet pour être présents? Ils ont même refusé de fournir des dépliants sur l'environnement qui auraient pu être distribués à la population. Ils défendant quoi au juste? L'environnement ou les politiques moribondes du gouvernement? Sont-ils payés en-dessous de la table pour se taire? Quelqu'un a entendu parlé d'une action quelconque de Greenpeace Québec dernièrement ou depuis toujours? Pathétique.

Une aire à l'abri des voyeurs pourrait être aménagée pour permettre aux manifestants de se peinturer et de ne pas être filmés par les mongols pendant qu'ils se déshabillent. Des clôtures pourraient être installées pour tenir les rapaces à l'écart.

ILS FAUT QUE LES JEUNES ET LES FEMMES S'IMPLIQUENT. Est-ce que l'environnement est un domaine où seulement les hommes doivent prendre l'initiative?

Finalement! Première participation de Montréal aux manifestations mondiales. En étroite communication avec les autorités de la ville, la nudité est tolérée et la manif est encadrée par les forces policières. La couverture médiatique laisse à désirer, la plupart des journaux et des postes de télévisions ne montrent que le départ: un zoo. On attendait 400 cyclistes, on a eu droit à 800 voyeurs. Une honte pour Montréal. La grande majorité des manifestants sont embarrassés par la meute en manque de peau. Ils préfèrent se joindre à la manif APRÈS le départ. Résultat: les quelques 20 ou 25 participants au départ sont des naturistes ayant répondu plus à l'appel de la nudité qu'à celui de l'environnement. Les médias ne manquent pas de le faire remarquer.

On attendait un affrontement avec les Juifs hassidiques de l'Avenue du Parc, c'est plutôt nos B.S. québécois qui feront le plus de grabuge. Partout sur la planète, c'est dans la joie que semble s'être déroulé les manifs. Montréal fait bande à part avec sa population n'ayant pas la moindre tolérance ou politesse. C'est correct de voir des enfants irakiens déchiquetés par les bombes étatsuniennes, mais n'allez surtout pas montrer un bout de fesse... Sacrilège!

Le plaisir débute 5 minutes plus tard sur Saint-Joseph. Venant de partout, près d'une centaine de manifestants se sont joint au cortège en lançant des slogans et en saluant la foule. Les applaudissements fusaient de partout et l'atmosphère de confrontation du départ par la foule de débiles légers n'est plus qu'un mauvais souvenir. Félicitations à tous les manifestants.

Départ au Parc Wilfrid-Laurier, au nord sur Brébeuf, à l'est sur St-Grégoire, au sud sur Papineau, à l'est sur Masson, au sud sur Parthenais, à l'ouest sur Saint-Joseph jusqu'à l'avenue du Parc, on monte du Parc au nord jusqu'à Van Horne, on emprunte Clark au sud pour finalement tourner à l'est sur Laurier pour revenir au parc. Total = approx. 42 minutes

Un petit groupe se rassemble, aucun média, la manif n'a pas lieu.

À quelques minutes du départ au Parc Jarry, l'événement est soudainement interdit. Les cyclistes n'auront jamais pris le départ.
