'''2010 Fig Leif 5K & more. . .''' Saturday, June 12th: This includes the second bike ride of the day, the "Fig Leif Naked Run/Ride" in Forest Park at 7:30pm. We will be hosting a 10K off road naked bike ride and 5k run/walk starting at the paved section of Lief Erickson Drive (400 Yards beyong the gate at the end of NW Thurman). Bring your used running shoes to donate. This is the 5th annual 5K run, and the second off-road addition to the Pedalpalloza events with the Naked Off-Road Adventure on Lief Erickson Drive through Forest Park. Help Show your support and use it as a warm-up for the mid-night ride. Start is 7:30pm at the porta potty area on the paved section of Leif Erickson. Show up a little before to get situated. We will watch your stuff while you ride naked. Nice and secure so you will not be alone naked at the end of the event. Lot's of fun. Feel like a REAL Portlander!

The huge, nighttime edition of this ride was moved from the official date to 16 jun to work better with local scheduling constraints. The first naked ride is the "Sunny Nekkid Ride" starting at the Joan of Arc statue at NE 39th and Glisan, at 3pm. This will be about the fifth year for this ride. The attendance varies with the weather; it has had as many as 100 people, and as few as 20.

The second ride is the "Fig Leif Naked Run/Ride" on NW Leif Erickson Road (in Forest Park), 4250 NW Thurman St (take Trimet Bus 15) Take Trimet (500 yards beyond the Thurman Street Forest Park gate. The Fig Leif Naked 10K Off-Road Bike Ride and 5K Run meets at the paved section of NW Leif Erickson Road at 7:15pm on Saturday, June 9th. This is the wide area with a port-a-potty about 500 yards beyond the Forest Park entry gate at the top of NW Thurman St. Same unorganized run and unsupported ride as last year. We'll have someone to keep times and watch our stuff while we bike and run on Leif Erickson Road. Prizes for first bike and runner, male and female, to cross finish line. There is no entry fee and bring you own water.

The big ride, though, starts from and returns to a location TBA (last year: near the east bank esplanade and hawthorne street), and gathering will begin around 9, with the ride beginning at 10pm. We had 5,000 riders last year and we expect even more this year. There is no admission fee for the gathering or the ride, and it is BYOB this year. We will try to get some food vendors out and we will have a "safe" space fenced off with security, portapotties, and a secure bag check. ===2009===

The ride left the Pedalpalooza Kickoff Dance party at 2181 NW Nicolai Street, sent off by the [http://www.lastregiment.com/ Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers] and looping on a course that went down burnside, briefly over to the east side, and back up 2nd street. Only about 1/3 of the riders made it to the east side before the ride accidentally looped onto itself and the last 2/3 of the riders did not make it over the bridge to the east side.

Nearly 5000 riders participated (by the fire marshal's estimate), and while there were a few injuries, everyone we're aware of recovered fully.

===2008===
The ride left the Pedalpalpooza Dance Party on Saturday 14 June 2008, 11:59pm, from the Track 7 warehouse at NW 30th and Industrial. The route was long and the pace was fast, which caused problems for some riders. In past years, we often split into multiple groups following different routes, but for some reason this year we all rode the same route.

Though we anticipated 1200-1500 riders, we actually got around 2000. I've been told that that's the official police estimate. It took roughly an hour for the stream of cyclists to pass, and that made some motorists very angry. (And many thousands of people very happy of course.) There was one incident in which a driver deliberately crushed a cyclist's bike.

===2007===
The party was in the Organics To You warehouse at the East end of the Hawthorne bridge. At the party we distributed about 820 wristbands, and nearly everybody went on the ride so we estimate 800 riders -- not counting people who saw us along the way and spontaneously stripped to ride with us.

The party was amazing, though the OLCC wasn't too thrilled with us. The planning in 2008 will need to be much more careful. The ride itself was chaotic as always. No arrests. One injury when a rider hit a pothole at high speed; he was walking the next day... slowly.

===2006===
Roughly 500 riders left the Pedalpalooza Dance Party at [http://www.disjecta.org/ Disjecta] ([http://maps.google.com/maps?q=230+East+Burnside+Street,+Portland,+OR 230 East Burnside Street] though its moved since then) at 11:59pm for a long looping ride. Many people did multiple loops that night.

===2005===
The 2005 ride and post-ride party maxed out the generous location donated by [http://www.freegeek.org Free Geek]. We had about 170 riders.

===2004===
