Unlike for normal pages, there is no tab 'Move' for File:imagename. I have no experience with renaming images. Perhaps it requires a delete and an upload by the same name. Only an administrator can perform a 'delete', or perhaps a rename. I assume [[User:Nsayers|Nsayers]] may help you out, if you contact him on his [[User_talk:Nsayers|talk page]].

Hi there, welcome.

I don't think there are any rules about naming image files on this wiki. And I'm certainly not in a position to lecture anyone at all. But I did notice a curious discrepancy between your user name and the names of files you uploaded. I assume it might be best to start a filename with the location it is exclusively good for. Oops, I really don't mean that you shouldn't edit pages for locations outside Canberra! And only on this wiki it might be rather nice to stick with WNBR related matters ;-)

  • Filename "Wnbr sticker5.jpg" could be e.g. "Australia_sticker_5_WNBR.jpg"
  • Filename "V3map.jpg", a route map assumedly for the Canberra ride, could be e.g. "Canberra_map_V3 ,jpg"
  • Filename "Cyclonudista.jpg" appears something for a lot of locations in several countries, but it shows a poster (?) specifically for Canberra. I think it would be better if it were called e.g. "Canberra_poster_Cyclonudista.jpg".

Unless you wish readers to zoom in so as to clearly identify the people in the background picture, the file resolution 3,508 × 4,960 pixels might be slightly exaggerated.

  • If one 'goes' to File:A3-5-wiki.png: on the place one would expect to see the image at 424 × 599 pixels preview, appears "Error creating thumbnail: invalid thumbnail parameters". The same message where one expects to see a thumbnail. Please check. And does it perhaps get better if you repeat the upload? Is the extremely high resolution that takes 6.5 megabyte at 3,508 x 4,960 pixels needed? (Hard to judge as I can't see what it is about, but it can not possibly fit a full high resolution screen.)

There are numerous files that do not follow my naming suggestion. Only the Cyclonudista.jpg disturbed me a bit.

A few practical file sizes:

Perhaps have a look at some other pages on this wiki for roughly similar images with a similar purpose as Canberra's. Click on an image to open the File:imagename for checking e.g. its dimensions (in a column of section 'File history'), and if appropriate perhaps downgrade yours before uploading it again by your current filename: There is a link for that underneath the table in 'File history'.

Unlike for normal pages, there is no tab 'Move' for File:imagename. I have no experience with renaming images. Perhaps it requires a delete and an upload by the same name. Only an administrator can perform a 'delete', or perhaps a rename. I assume Nsayers may help you out, if you contact him on his talk page.

Good luck with one of the earliest Autumn critical masses,
