Hello, I got involved with WNBR in June 2007, preparing for the ride 30 June ride in Brussels. I'd first heard about cyclonudista in 2005 or so and even heard of the first one in Brussels, but didn't manage to ride back then. The 2006 ride I didn't even know about (my own fault).

I help out a bit with the editing of the Brussels page and if it isn't done already, I try to translate from French (which most people involved with the ride speak) to Dutch (my mother tongue) and English.

Verslag - Compte rendu - Review

30 Jun 2007 Brussels

Rond 13u30 aangekomen op het Muntplein, al behoorlijk veel aanwezigen. Een aantal mensen aan het bodypainten, reeds een tiental fotografen en cameraploegen, veel toevallige voorbijgangers die een kijken kwamen nemen en een politiecombi die een oogje in het zeil hield. Rond kwart voor twee werd dan een korte participatieve persconferentie gehouden. Deze verliep nogal chaotisch, maar iedereen die dat wou kon wel zijn of haar zegje doen. Ondertussen was het Muntplein al een ware heksenketel, met vele cameraploegen ide mekaar voor de voeten liepen. Even leek het er zelfs op dat er meer pers dan deelnemers waren. Toen we rond 14u30 echt vertrokken bleek dat er behoorlijk wat deelnemers waren, zo'n 70 in totaal. Ook een aantal fotografen reden mee, met kleren aan spijtig genoeg. Eén dappere dame durfde het aan meteen vanaf de start volledig naakt te gaan. ondanks hun dreingende taal i.v.m. full nudity liet de politie haar begaan. De tocht ging langs het Centraal Station, over het Koningsplein, langs de Naamse Poort, een paar toertjes rond het Luxemburgplein, dan richting Shuman alwaar ook een paar rondjes en uiteindeljk het Jubelpark in. Gedurende de rit hadden nog een aantal mensen zich ontdaan van hun laatste kledingstukken. Bij de ingang van het Jubelpark werden deze mensen echter verplicht terug wat aan te trekken. Uiteindelijk werd Autoworld binnegereden voor een belconcert en de timing bleek perfect, want net na de aankomst volgende een kleine regenbui. Om de toch fijn af te sluiten werd er nog in groep gereden naar Librarie Aden, alwaar de straat autovrij was gemaakt voor een klein feestje. Nog aangenaam nagepraat met een aantal mensen en allen vol goede moed om het volgend jaar een nóg groter succes te maken. Alles samen een zeer geslaagde eerste cyclonudista voor mij!

Arrivés autour de 13h30 sur la Place Monnaie, déjà plutôt beaucoup de personnes présentes. Un nombre de gens au bodypainting, déjà une dizaine de photographes et équipes de caméra, beaucoup de passants fortuits qui sont venus prendre un regard et la police qui tiens un oeillet dans le voile. Autour du quart pour deux, une courte conférence de presse participative. Ceux-ci c'est déroulés un peut chaotique, mais tout le monde qui cela a voulu a pu bien être fair son grain. Entre-temps, la Place Monnaie a été déjà un vrai bouilloire sorcierd, avec beaucoup d'équipes de caméra. Il a semblé même que plus de presse que les participants a été la. Pendant le trajet, ont eu encore un nombre de gens lui consterné de leurs derniers vêtements. Lors de l'entrée du Cinquantenaire, ont toutefois été ces gens oblige ce que attirer. Finalement entré Autoworld pour un concert de sonnette a été et le timing est apparu parfaitement, car juste après l'arrivée suivante une petite averse. Pour fermer pourtant fin a il encore été conduit dans le groupe vers Librarie Aden, ou la rue avait été faite interdit à la circulation automobile pour une petite fête. Avec un nombre de gens épilogué encore agréablement et le bon courage plein pour faire l'an prochain un succès encore plus grand. Tout ensemble un premier cyclonudista très réussi pour moi !
