Ride Details

In early November 2011, local bike riding activists from Perth began planning and discussing the 2012 WNBR using the WNBR Perth Facebook group. Ricky Ellis (deafbrickie(at)hotmail(dot)com) volunteered as Perth Organiser and has several offers of help. Details of the ride are yet to be decided. The tentative date of the ride is Saturday the 12th of March 2012 (the official date). Please join the WNBR Perth Facebook group to get involved with planning, volunteer to help with the jobs of organising, register your support and keep your finger on the pulse of what promises to be a great big fun bike protest event.

Publicity: flyers, posters, images etc

Location information

History

2010

Some Perth cyclists organised a World Naked Bike Ride that began at 7am from Perth's Bell Tower on Saturday the 13th of March 2010 and went 80km. Unfortunately, they did not register the ride with WNBR Australia or even inform WNBR Australia. You can view the discussion about organising the ride on Australian Cycling Forums website. The riders were encouraged to register their event for official recognition but did not. Some discussion also occurred on Perth Mountain Bike Club forum and Western Australian Mountain Biking, Bike Trials and BMX forum.
