The following information relates to bike hire for the 2013 ride.

London Bicycle Tour Company (LBTC) is offering bikes for the afternoon of the ride (Saturday 8 June 2013) for just £12. They are also staying open until 7pm, so you have more time to return the bike. Bikes must be pre-booked and collected from their premises, which are 15-20 minutes by bike along low-traffic routes to the ride start. Please try to collect bikes early (from 10.45am), in order to avoid a rush.

Terms of the hire for WNBR riders

  1. Bike collection and return is from/to the London Bicycle Tour Company (Nearest tube/rail = Waterloo).
  2. Bike delivery is not available for the Discount Hire for WNBR.
  3. Bikes can be collected from 10.45am on Saturday 8 June 2013. Please try to collect bikes before 1pm if possible.
  4. Bikes must be returned to LBTC by 7pm on Saturday 8 June 2013.
  5. LBTC will provide a bike that is available (and try to match your preference).
  6. The discount hire terms do not apply to Tandems or Road Bikes; if you require one of these, phone or visit LBTC.
  7. The person hiring the bike (the primary hirer) must adhere and agree to LBTC's normal terms and conditions.
  8. The person hiring the bike must leave a guarantee that the bike will be returned in good condition. This is normally done by providing the details of a valid credit or debit card. Alternatively, you can leave a cash deposit of £180 (GBP) per bike hired.
  9. LBTC reserves the right to set additional terms not described here.

Notes on costs

Bike helmets, panniers, and lights are not included in the prices and will incur an additional charge. Locks, though, are included.

It is preferred that people pay in advance by credit or debit card. This way LBTC are able to do two jobs at once: capture the hirer's bank details for the deposit on the bicycle, and pay for the bike hire at the same time.

Collection and return point

This year all bikes have to be collected/returned from/to the London Bicycle Tour Company between 10.45am-7pm on the day of the London World Naked Bike Ride. Please collect your bike before 1pm if possible, as this will minimise delays.

Hiring by phone or in person

To hire a bike with a credit card you should phone 020 7928 6838 (between 10am-6pm). It is also possible to hire with cash deposit and cash payment if you prebook in person. Mention that you are hiring a £12 bike for the afternoon of the WNBR.

You will be asked to provide your name and height (or preferred bike size). Be sure to let them know that you want the World Naked Bike Ride discounted rate of £12. Your bike will be available for collection from 10.45pm and must be returned by 7pm.

If paying with a card (instead of cash deposit and prepayment) you will also need to provide your billing address, and credit/debit card details.

Hiring by email

Click here to go to LBTC's Booking page from which, if you have an email client running, you can send them an email requesting to hire a bike for the WNBR. You need to specify your full name, full postal address, email address, phone number, size of the bike you want to hire, and the date and time period of hire, not forgetting to mention their special £12 WNBR offer. But you can copy/paste the list of needed information headings from their page into your email.

Their email address is mail [at] londonbicycle [dot] com
