A suggested schedule of planning tasks to make your local ride a success!

Months in brackets are for main Southern and Northern Hemisphere ride dates respectively.

Schedule

Summer before next year’s ride

  • Promote WNBR at summer festivals

September-December before next year’s ride

  • Contact diary and calendar publishers to get WNBR dates included

Six months before ride (Sep/Dec)

Three months before ride (Dec/Mar)

  • Send press releases to monthly print publications for inclusion in the month of the ride

Two months before ride (Jan/Apr)

One month before ride (Feb/May)

  • Publicise final planning meeting

One week before ride (Mar/Jun)

  • Hold a final, detailed planning meeting

One day before ride (Mar/Jun)

  • Get some sleep!
  • Make sure everything’s ready to rock’n’roll!
