Alweer een geslaagde Cyclonudista voorbij! Dankzij het goed weer (af en toe bewolkt, maar +/- 25°) een mooie opkomst, een tachtigtal vermoed ik. Slechts enkelen die vanaf het begin naakt gingen, maar het ondergoed ging al snel uit en op het einde waren een goede veertigtal mensen volledig naakt aan het fietsen. Ook enkel mooi beschilderde en verkleedde mensen, vlaggen en wimpels. Ondanks het ontbreken van politiebegeleiding verliep de tocht zeer vlot. Een vriendelijke agent van de Gerechtelijke Politie die de stoet volgde, hielp af en toe om het verkeer tegen te houden. Waarvoor dank! De route dit jaar was een stuk langer, maar we deden ook veel meer locaties op met veel publiek. Voor sommigen misschien wat confronterend, maar volgens mij een zeer goed keuze. Zeer veel leuke reactie van de toeschouwers op o.a. de Anspachlaan en de terrasjes aan Sint-Goriks of Flagey. Zoals vorig jaar leek er in het begin meer pers dan deelnemers, maar dit jaar deden de cameraploegen ook de moeite onderweg beelden te schieten. De fragmenten van het journaal waren positief en hadden aandacht voor de redenen van onze actie. Vooral de verslaggeving op het VRT journaal ging mooi in op de thema's van de WNBR. Een goed jaar, maar volgend jaar moeten we minstens honderd deelnemers halen! |
Another good Cyclonudista is finished Thanks to the good weather (cloudy from time to time, but +/-25°) we had a nice turn out, about eighty I guess. Only a few started out naked, but the underwear came of quickly and by the end some fourty people where cycling completely naked. Also beautifully painted and decorated people, flags and banners. Even though there was no police accompaniment the ride went smooth. A friendly officer of the Judicial Police who followed our carnival, helped out to stop traffic. Thanks for that! This years rout was quite a bit longer, but also passed a lot more public locations. For some a bit confronting, but to me e very good choice. Lots of positive reactions of onlookers at f.i. Bvd. Anspach and the terraces of St.-Gorik and Flagey. Just as last year at the start there seemed to be more press then participants, but this year the camera crews made the effort to film us under way also. The pieces i saw on television where positive and focused quite a lot on the reasons for our action and the theme's of WNBR. A good year, but next year we should be able to have at least one hundred participants! |

Rendez-vous place de la Monnaie le 21 juin 2008 à 14h. Face à la technique agressive et à un développement sans règles, la Terre est nue, roulons nus à vélo pour sauver la Terre! La place de la Monnaie est située à deux pas des boulevards du centre, derrière la place De Brouckère, devant l'opéra de la Monnaie. Que devez vous emporter? Votre vélo et de quoi passer l'après midi en ville. La balade durera environ 2 heures. Le but est de rouler le plus nu possible, mais la police ne tolère pas la nudité intégrale. Prévoyez un maillot de bain! Bodypainters: préparez pinceaux, couleurs! Faites-nous signe dès maintenant. Il serait utile de prévoir une séance de peinture quelques heures avant la cyclonudiste. Les peintures corporelles en améliorent fortement la visibilité et la crédibilité. Pourquoi rouler nu? Parce que la nudité attire le regard! Cela donne plus de visibilité à notre action. Attention, nous ne provoquons pas le spectateur, ce n'est pas de l'exhibitionisme! |
Afspraak aan het Muntplein 21 juni 2008 om 14 uur Ten opzichte van agressieve technologie en vooruitgang zonder regels, is de aarde naakt. Fiets naakt om de aarde te redden. Het Muntplein bevindt zich in het centrum van Brussel tussen het Noordstation en het Centraalstation, naast de Nationale Opera, en achter het De Brouckère Plein. De tocht zal ongeveer 2 uur duren. Jullie mogen volledig naakt gaan, maar neem in ieder geval ook een zwembroek of zwempak mee voor als de politie moeilijk doet. Of een pareo, die sla je snel om je heen, indien nodig. Wat mee te nemen: U neemt uw fiets mee of u huurt er eentje; een rugzak of fietstas; iets om te drinken mocht het een hete dag worden. Voor de bodypainters onder u: Er is voor het moment niks voorzien. U mag altijd zelf materiaal meenemen. Waarom naakt fietsen? Omdat naakt de aandacht trekt. Het maakt de actie opvallender. Let wel, we zijn niet provocerend. Het heeft niks te maken met exhibitionisme. |
Meeting at place de la Monnaie on the 21st of June 2008 at 2:00pm In the face of technological agression and change without rules: the world is defenceless and we ride bikes naked to save the world!' The place de la Monnaie or the Muntplein is situated in the center of Brussels between the north station and the central station, next to the National Opera, behind the place de la Brouckère or Brouckere Plein and in front of the Theatre de la Monnaie or the Muntschouwburg. What to you bring with you? Your bicycle and anything you need to spend the afternoon in city. Something to drink and a backpack, panniers or a basket to put your clothes and things. The ride will last about 2 hours. The goal is to ride as nude as possible, although the police might not tolerate complete nakedness. Anticipate that you may need a bathing suit! Bodypainters are welcome! Nothing official is planned so if you can bring some paints for yourself or to share that would be appreciated. It would be useful to anticpate a body painting session will take some time before the WNBR. The body painting will strongly improve our visibility and credibility. Why do we ride naked? Because the bareness attracts attention! That gives more visibility to our action. Take note: we do not intend provoke the spectator, this is not exhibitionism! |

L’indécense, c’est l’essence ! Depuis 6 ans, la Coordinadora de Colectivos Ciclonudistas d’Aragon (Espagne) appelle à des manifestations cyclo-nudistes dans des villes du monde entier en juin. Justice dans les rues, voilà ce que nous revendiquons avec conviction et sympathie. Nous dénonçons le fait que l’espace public soit séquestré par les voitures qui nous imposent leur loi : agressivité, vitesse, danger et pollution, transformant les villes en lieux hostiles. La voiture tue et son impunité nous scandalise. Nous proposons un autre modèle de développement urbain, qui ne sert pas les intérêts financiers de l’industrie automobile et pétrolière mais tous les citoyens. Une ville où l’espace public est dédié à la vie, pas aux machines, où les moyens de transports sont collectifs, gratuits, moins polluants et plus efficaces. |
Benzine is de boosdoener ! Reeds gedurende 6 jaar roept la Coordinadora de Colectivos Ciclonudistas d’Aragon (Spanje) op tot naakte fiets-manifestaties in de grote wereldsteden in de maand juni. Gerechtigheid op straat, dit is wat we eisen met overtuiging, doch sympathiek. We halen aan dat publieke ruimte ingepamld wordt door automobielverkeer dat ons zijn wetten opdringt : agressiviteit, snelheid, gevaar en vervuiling, steden veranderend in vijandige plaatsen. De wagen doodt en zijn onschendbaarheid shockeert. Wij zijn voorstander van een ander stadsbeeld, niet ten dienste van de automobielindustrie en de petroleumsector maar van alle burgers. Steden en openbare plaatsen behoren aan het leven, niet aan machines. Transportmiddelen moeten gemeenschappelijk, gratis, minder vervuilend en doeltreffender zijn. |
That's oil dependency that's obscene Since 6 year, la Coordinadora de Colectivos Ciclonudistas d’Aragon (Spain) call for naked bike rides in june in the whole world. Justice on the streets, this is what we claim with a strong conviction and in earnest, but cheerfully as well, having a good time. Cars impose their law and order on us: speed, high-handedness, fumes and violence. We denounce that our streets have been kidnapped by privately used cars which collapse cities and degenerate these into a hostile and dangerous land. Cars kill and we are shocked at their impunity. If we question them, so many transnational war interests in petrol and car industry are at stake. We propose a model of a city where people get back their space, where moving needs are reduced and where there is a commitment to pedestrians (all of us are) and to less polluting and more effective means of transport. |

Pourquoi à bicyclette ? En nous déplaçant à bicyclette chaque jour, notre mobilité devient un acte de lutte quotidien, un outil de transformation sociale. Symbole de liberté, le vélo est un moyen de transport urbain révolutionnaire : doux et efficace, écologique et amusant. Il ne consomme pas de pétrole, ne participe pas à la destruction de la planète, ni à la guerre globale. |
Waarom per fiets ? Elke dag zich per fiets verplaatsen maakt van onze mobiliteit een dagelijks signaal, een teken van sociale gedaanteverandering. Als symbool van vrijheid, is de fiets een revolutionair stadsvervoermiddel : zacht en efficiënt, ecologisch en plezant. De fiets verbruikt geen benzine, draagt niet bij tot de vernieling van onze planeet. |
Why cycling ? When we move day by day on our bikes we transform our mobility into an everyday disobedience act. The bicycle is a reliable, healthy, ecological and amusing means of transport. It is an icon, a symbol of freedom and a practical instrument to transform society. It does not pay taxes, does not waste oil, does neither cooperate with a destroying development nor with global war. |

Pourquoi nu ? Comme la planète, nous nous sentons nus et fragiles devant le trafic automobile. Manifester nu c’est protester contre la destruction de notre environnement et appeler à déserter la société de consommation qui ruine la planète et les peuples qui l’habitent. Se ballader nu, avec naturel et sans pudeur, c’est aussi résister à la dictature de la publicité et de la mode, refuser leur prison dorée, de se conformer à leur image du corps et du bonheur qui fabriquent complexes et frustrations, qui nourrit l’individualisme et l’esprit de compétition. |
Waarom naakt ? Net zoals de Aarde voelen wij ons naakt en kwetsbaar tegenover het autoverkeer. Naakt manifesteren is protesteren tegen de vernietiging van onze omgeving en is oproepen tot ontsnappen aan de consumptiemaatschappij die de aarde, mens, plant en dier kapot maakt. Naakt fietsen, natuurlijk en zonder schaamte is zich ook verzetten tegen de dictatuur van reclame en mode, is de gouden dwangbuis weigeren, ons niet hun schoonheidsidealen laten opdringen, die complexen en frustraties veroorzaken, welke een voedingsbodem zijn voor individualisme en competitiegeest. |
Why naked ? Because we feel we are naked before the traffic owing to the drivers' lack of respect and the apathy of our rulers. Thus we make it visible that our bodywork is fragile. Moreover, we show our body naturally, not feeling ashamed, toppling taboos regarding our physical appearance which are imposed by fashion and the greediness of the textile transnational industry. To sum up, we face urban traffic with our naked body on our bikes as the best way of defending our dignity and of living the social struggle. |

Om het succes en de veiligheid van het evenement te garanderen, zorg dat u zich in grote getale aansluit bij de Belgische cyclonudista.
