Please Note

Though it does not appear to be enforced, Berkeley police do publicize a city statute prohibiting public nudity. That being said, extreme tolerance has been demonstrated by Berkeley Police in recent events involving nudity, such as the annual "How Berkeley can you be" parade and the recent "Old Oak" protests. A typical response by the Berkeley police is a good laugh or at worst a rolling of the eyes. Nearby San Francisco has no pre-determined clothing minimums, and both cities seem to receive positive responses to protests involving nudity or not. Berkeley residents are welcomed to enjoy the full extent of liberty- including a WNBR in San Francisco as well as their own WNBR the following Saturday. Why not do both?
