There is a local Berkeley [http://www.ci.berkeley.ca.us/bmc/berkeley_municipal_code/Title_13/32/index.html city statute prohibiting public nudity] but the 2009, 2010 and 2011 rides were just fine with the few police encountered seeming to only be observing our well-behaved bikers. The same can be said at other Berkeley events involving some nudity, such as the annual [http://www.howberkeleycanyoube.com/ How Berkeley Can You Be?] parade and the recent [[Wikipedia: Berkeley oak grove controversy|"Old Oak" protests]].

There is a local Berkeley city statute prohibiting public nudity but since 2009 and through 2014 the rides have been just fine, with the few police encountered seeming only to be observing our well-behaved bikers. The same can be said at other Berkeley events involving some nudity, such as the annual How Berkeley Can You Be? parade and the recent "Old Oak" protests.
