Camp Ramblewood, the onetime legendary largely Jewish children's summer camp that closed in 1993 styles itself as a "unique, rustic resort," and it really is just that! For more than 20 years, the camp has been a preferred venue for naturist lifestyle groups from across the country! The entire site is clothing-optional for all four days of MARNA's Summer Camp. Camp facilities include flushing toilets, hot showers, electricity, a big swimming pool, a dining hall serving buffet-style meals, and excellent cellular reception. The site covers about 200 acres, surrounded by trees. Use of the cabins is optional; you're welcome to set up your own tent and will find plenty of suitable space for doing so. Early registration price---$180 for the entire event Skinnydipper's pass--- The Skinnydipper's pass for MARNA Summer Camp has been expanded. The Natural Way to Go Camping For the really laid-back, easy-going, natural approach to Summer Camp, join the Maryland Area Naturist Association at beautiful Camp Ramblewood, Thursday, July 8 to Sunday, July 11, 2010. Camp Ramblewood styles itself as a "unique, rustic resort," and it really is just that! For more than 20 years, the camp has been a preferred venue for naturist and alternate lifestyle groups from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. The entire site is clothing-optional. Camp Facilities Camp facilities include flushing toilets, hot showers, electricity, a big swimming pool, a dining hall serving buffet-style meals, and excellent cellular reception. The site covers about 200 acres, surrounded by trees. Use of the cabins is optional; you're welcome to set up your own tent and will find plenty of suitable space for doing so. Camping Neighbors We'll be sharing some of the camp's facilities with another clothing-optional group: the Chesapeake Pagan Community. The Pagans will be using the cabins along the North side of the camp for their own summer retreat, while MARNA is using the cabins in the South portion of the camp. World Naked RUN AND RIDE - Bike Ride: From 2004-2009, MARNA proudly supported this event as a local body acceptance event that was conducted nearly nude in the streets of Washington, DC! The ride is generally a protest against car culture and oil dependency AND Nudity is not enforced. The decision to go naked belongs entirely up to the participants and jurisdictional law. It is up to individual participants to decide how much nudity they are comfortable with. MARNA and CPC support nudity when legal. In June, 2004, cyclists in 29 cities, across the world took to the streets of the world, mostly wearing nothing more than a cheeky smile. It was not only a huge success, but also a huge surprise, neither the media or the police actually thought that it would happen. 2009 saw over 200 new cyclists take part in our Nations Capitol with cheerful media and police escort in tow! It is an event that belongs entirely to its participants. Seeing the end to the event for now in DC, and as genitals needed to be covered per City law, We've adopted the event at a private camp and expanded it to a nude Walk- Run too! Participants may choose to walk/run 1/4-1 mile on a paved surface or trail, or ride on a paved ONLY route! NUDE! Many other cities have a nude run, now Baltimore and Philadelphia can add their names to the list! (BYOB = bring your own bike) Spectators are encouraged to cheer for the MARNA cycling and track team. This activity is not covered by the skinny-dipper's pass. You WILL need at least a full day's Summer Camp membership to participate or watch. By Running time(10:00 a.m. 7/10) the temperature should be about 80 degrees and getting warmer - Check-in starts at 9:00 am, and we will gather for the race by 10 am. Afterward: And you just might get involved in tennis, volleyball, shuffleboard, and horseshoe competitions. The pool WILL be warm enough for a warm up swim, and the deck will certainly be warm enough for some relaxation / sunbathing.

Record Breakin' Skinny Dip This was a hit in Baltimore on July 10th 2009! VIDEO www.marylandnudism.com MARNA and CPC are participating in the AANR Skinny Dip on Saturday, July 10, 2010. At precisely 3 p.m. on that date, we'll meet at the camp's pool with as many people as we can. With our help, AANR will set a new Guiness North American skinny dippin' record. We're offering a special Skinnydipper's Pass for folks who would like to help us make the record, but can visit for only a few hours on Saturday.

Clothing Optional Clothing Optional means that clothing is not required and a lot of folks won't bother to wear any. To wear or not to wear is your personal option. Aside from that, the same rules that apply to polite behavior elsewhere in American society also apply at Summer Camp. Things people do in privacy should still be done in privacy, and illegal substances are very definitely not allowed. Will anyone EVER tell you to undress? Of course not! its just an option.

Accessibility Portions of the camp are not easily accessible to handicapped individuals, but CPC and MARNA are providing a golf cart and portable radios for accessibility. Community Service Community service is an integral part of the Summer Camp experience. MARNA and its activities are run entirely by volunteers. We ask all of our adult participants to contribute some of their time to help us operate Summer Camp. Skinnydipper's Pass (Saturday afternoon only) The Skinnydipper's Pass entitles you to join us in the pool and to participate in any other Summer Camp activities from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. If you'd like to stay for dinner (6-7 p.m.) or extend your visit overnight, those options are also available as an addition to the Skinnydipper's Pass. Arrival prior to 2:45 p.m. on Saturday is required. Don't be late and don't forget to bring your own towel.

MORE Stuff to Do We have a huge pool to play in and a big deck with plenty of lounge chairs to relax in. Maybe you'd like to learn juggling or bellydancing, practice drumming or make your own drum, play tennis or shoot some hoops, walk the labyrinth.
