The terrain is fairly flat though there are no paved roads within the ConFest site so it suits bikes with wide tyres like BMXs, Mountain Bikes, Ladies Shopper Bikes and Cruisers. Road bikes and racers are not recommended. The area is known for having thorns which can pierce tyres and tubes so make your tyres thorn-proof if you can and you MUST bring a puncture repair kit. At New Year Confest 2008-2009 we found that keeping on the beaten track, staying off all the ground vegitation and staying down on the river terraces where it is shady and greener rather than going up on the paddocks towards the main gate on the plains kept us away from the thorns. If you can bring a spare bike (or three) to share with others that would be fantastic because the number of people keen to participate has exausted WNBR stocks of bikes at previous ConFests.

Features of the programme include:

  • World Naked Bike Ride practice rides. Twice daily clothing optional bike rides through the vast (nearly 1000 acres) natural Confest private site. Spread the message of peace, love, and protection of mother earth through sustainable cycling.
World Naked Bike Ride practice rides

  • Pre-Ride body painting workshops.
Hippy Bike Love Body Art

  • Pre-Ride mud baths.
  • Post-Ride skinny dipping and refreshment.
  • Bike fixing workshops. Learn how to fix and repair your bike with help and instruction from a professional bike mechanic. Tools are supplied for use at the workshop.
  • New Organiser's Workshop. Learn how to become a World Naked Bike Ride organiser and plan a World Naked Bike Ride in your town or city.
  • Australian Organisers National Conference. New and existing Organisers and Coordinators will meet to plan future WNBR activities within Australia.
  • Plus all the other activities and workshops of ConFest. At Easter 2008 there were over 400 workshops on an amazing variety of topics.
